God I missed this place...

You've updated the server files on steam yet again yesterday, to exactly the same outdated version as last week.

I can see you changed a bunch of formatting and I'd like to start adapting to those changes, see if I'm going to have to wipe my server and start again.

You need to upload 1.18.154875 NOT 1.18.154754!

Love what your doing! i really do believe that this update levels the playing field for those PVE players to use unorthodox methods when it comes to PVP...e.g ambush, daisy chain IEDs, VBEDs

How about currency?? Old world money / bottle caps / tokens.....something that can be used to facilitate trade....please

What's the point of the currency? What value would it hold? Why would someone trade his gun/food/ammo/meds for X amount of currency that don't do anything to keep them alive?

PC Experimental 1.18 Update 3 - Version 1.18.154920 (Released on 31.05.2022)

GAME

FIXED

  • Fixed a number of game crashes
  • It was possible to add the Remote Detonator to the improvised explosive's attachments
  • Gas canisters would not explode when instantly ruined from pristine state
  • Magazines would not display the bullet count if it was 0 or 1
  • Inventory arrows of the fireplace cargo would indicate the wrong state
  • It was possible for 40mm ammunition to spawn with 0 quantity
  • Grenades attached to vests did not explode in the fireplace
  • It was possible to move an armed improvised explosive into the inventory
  • It was possible to arm an explosive in the inventory
  • The Claymore was visible for a brief moment after its explosion
  • The Claymore explosion was too fast and did not synchronize properly for players
  • The Claymore LED was not glowing at night
  • Smoke from 40mm smoke grenades was briefly visible if the expired in the players inventory
  • It was possible to detonate explosives via the tripwire
  • The 40mm explosive grenade did not explode when ruined
  • Disarming the plastic explosive would create an additional remote detonator
  • The improvised explosive would explode when ruined, even if there were no explosives inside
  • The improvised explosive and Claymore did not visually reflect their damaged states
  • Attaching the plastic explosive to the improvised explosive would make the cargo of the improvised explosive inaccessible
  • Two plastic explosives in an improvised explosive would reduce its damage
  • Grenades within the improvised explosive did not explode
  • The remote receiver did not disappear after disarming the plastic explosive
  • The remote detonator did not display its damaged or ruined states
  • The remote detonator could not be repaired using the electronics repair kit
  • It was possible to skip the arming action for explosives
  • Infected did not react to the sound of shooting the M79 launcher
  • Several items were displaying invisible attachments
  • Cargo of cookware was not visible when attached to a fireplace
  • The remote receiver did not have a widget and could not be dropped from hands
  • It was not possible to take a ruined plastic explosive back into hands
  • The PO-X Vial showed an "unpin" option
  • It was possible to attach the 40mm grenades to the tripwire
  • Kitchen Timer and Alarm Clock kept ringing after exploding as part of an explosive device
  • "Arm explosive" action was displayed when interacting with specific grenades with the remote detonator in hands

CHANGED

  • The Claymore now features a close range explosion in all directions in addition to its directional main explosion
  • Tweaked the inventory icons of the 40mm ammunition to point upwards
  • It is no longer possible to arm the improvised explosive if not explosives are inside
  • It is now possible to disassemble a remote detonator with a screwdriver to gain a battery
  • It is no longer possible to attach the Caymore to the improvised explosive
  • Adjusted the composition of a dynamic train event
  • Adjusted inventory rotation of armbands
  • Reduced the inventory size of the sawn-off Blaze for consistency
  • Increased the range of the remote detonator

SERVER

So.. if we can no longer move an armed ied, how do we put it in a case/bag to bury or put in the trunk of a car? 

I've come up with some fun pranks that these notes remove all abilities to perform

Why remove this? It makes sense that you can connect the detonator transmitter to a trip wire, and it has so many fun applications you can think of. The other adjustments do make sense but this one is unnecessary and a little dull.

I think they removed the fact that you can detonate explosiv from everywhere on the map thanks to the tripwire, not the combination beetween tripwire and detonator

I'd be ok with this. 
Whats the point of being able to explode something all the way across the map... other than Wobos mention of making a "your base is under attack" smoke alarm.

Yeah the range should of course still apply. That was a funny bug though...

OK, Tested. Remote detonator still can be attached and works fine. 

Burying explosive case no longer possible due to not being able to move it 😢

It seems someone forgot to update the server files for Linux. The server is still version 1.18.154916 and because of this it is not possible to enter the server.

The reason for this bug is that the login timer window is still open, just not visible (which is also why pressing ESC will disconnect you back to main menu, as it's the same as clicking CANCEL during the login timer). I've had for the longest time a hacky workaround for this in 3_Game that just automatically closes the hidden login timer (by modding DayZGame::CancelLoginTimeCountdown, calling the super, checking afterwards if there is still a LoginTimeBase instance, closing it, then manually unlocking controls). It would be nice if this were fixed properly in vanilla, among the OnPlayerLoaded/OnRespawnEvent timing bug (it's basically chance if OnPlayerLoaded gets called before or after OnRespawnEvent is received on client, which means the respawn timer countdown window may be closed prematurely before the countdown ends).

This update spells the end of base building, not only it adds a lot of powerful explosives but now I can hoard gas containers and use them to blow the walls. 

Also still no spray pain.

They really aren't that strong, from what I remember watching what Wobo said, they deal something like ~30 dmg to you if they are in your inventory, ~20 if you punch with them and ~15 if they are on the ground next to you.
Gas containers don't deal enough damage to kill chicken in one explosion.

Better save that bullet and shoot the wall.

They aint strong at all. It takes 5-7 to hurt the player enough to kill. 

I pick locked a door and gave up after 20 or so canisters exploded. 
They only have a 1 meter radius also.

Yeah this kills the fun.

I gave a guy a free car on exp and it blew up just as he drove away while thanking me.

No longer possible sadly.

Something needs to be done about this stupid UNCONSCIOUS meta.

One single SKS bullet to a press vest shouldn't knock you unconscious at 100 meters. It's just too much. Neither should 2 bullets knock you unconscious when you are wearing a plate carrier.

It's not realistic and it's not fun to play.

I haven't interacted with anyone yet, but I've played around on my personal server. Put a gas case in the trunk, put a trip wire under the bumper, as soon as someone sits down the gas starts and if you're not quick you could get sick.

Just imagine if they aren't thinking and try to drive off... WITH the gas in the trunk following them LUL
