  • Reworked Nizhnoye village on Chernarus
  • Adding a favorite server when already at max (25) will throw an error instead of removing a random favorite
  • VOIP (any) is not available while in inventory. If VA is active, the player can keep speaking though
  • VOIP "push-to-talk" and "toggle voice activation" have been moved from DPAD-down to DPAD-left
  • VOIP "volume range up/down" has been added as DPAD-left + RB/LB
  • "Cycle fire mode" has been moved from DPAD-left to LT (I.E.  while in raised hands) + DPAD-right
  • While in vehicle, "accelerate" now behaves as an axis and can be modulated (instead of being on/off)
  • Heavy attack is now triggered by "Press Y" instead of "Hold Y"
  • A new optional control scheme added
  • Mic continues to listen to the player for 0.5 s after they let go of the push-to-talk button
  • All heat sources are now emitting heat
  • Drain and pour liquid actions are now properly separated
  • Adjusted the wolf model to allow a more precise headshot
  • The burning duration of torches now correctly depends on the amount of fuel
  • Cooking without lard/water now reduces the weight of the burned food
  • Weapon sway increases while the character is rolling
  • Fireplaces start heating up the player character faster now
  • Position of the light source for Sarka 120 when only a single headlight is on was set to the proper position

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Wrong attack animation for spears
  • Item icons in inventory are sometimes shaking/flashing
  • Weapon won't fire while holding shift key (when using mouse & keyboard controls)
  • There is an incorrect animation of ejecting ammo after the last shot from some rifles and shotguns
  • When climbing a ladder, light is emitted even when the source of the light (i.e. torch) is hidden
  • Items in inventory or dropped on the ground are not gaining the wet status properly
  • Improvised face cover is clipping with hair of some female characters
  • Wrong holding animation of the left hand when aiming with pistols

  • Gesture wheel was showing wrong button hints under the default control scheme
  • Wrong animations for spears and pitchfork melee and throwing attacks
  • Bear traps were killing players who triggered them with a tool
  • Bear trap and trip wires were missing their sounds when triggered
  • CR-550 magazine was hovering above the hand after hiding the gun
  • Cooking directly on cooking slots was missing sound effects (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T163863)
  • Ruined burned broom turned into pristine wooden stick
  • Brooms and torches were offering an extinguish action even if not ignited yet
  • Default action text is showing when player wants to perform the drain or pour action

  • Sounds for footsteps were missing while the character had raised hands while holding two-handed stabbing weapons
  • Ruined Zmijovka hat didn't properly reflect its state

  • If a player untied an improvised rope belt with knife attached to it, the knife disappeared
  • Mouse cursor was invisible in the respawn menu
  • Opening the quick bar collided with the VOIP activation
  • VOIP didn't work after respawn

  • Scope-zooming in without unzooming changed the camera perspective on the default control scheme

Can't wait for this years updates. Hopefully a dedicated Mouse and Keyboard 1st Person Perspective official server in the near future for console for those of us using mouse and keyboard but not having access to a dedicated 1st Person Perspective official server.

Dude are you guys ever going to fix swimming under the map?  Scott Bowen is a part of dayz lives matter group on Facebook and said you guys were going to fix swimming as a top priority but this was 3 updates ago and there is no news on it from here.

 

 Unless you build a base with a ladder, bases are seriously worthless. So either fix swimming or add more advantage points with ladders for better bases

id assume removing the ability to log out whilst swimming would fix that. Perhaps initiating a respawn interface instead of log out whilst swimming? Maybe during the glitch the character model is still said to be in the laying position so it's not easily addressed.

Man.  Console players just want stability of the vehicles.  And a locker of some sort for weapons storage.   I cant wait to see how the kitchen timer is going to help with that

Yes please 1st person only m&k official server, and even more so please a 1st person only search filter for community tab, that would be such a QoL addition for us trying to find 1st person only servers in community tab as server names / titles don't always include that info and too many different abbreviations if does include info like 1p, 1pp, 1st person, first person, fp, fpp,

Simply just adding a 1st person only search filter would make it so much easier finding those type servers for those who wish to play first person only. Please please please

Dear Bohemia, I’ve been playing dayz for quite a while and have been messed up by swimming under the map quite a lot (other people doing it to me vice versa) but I have figured the way to fix it should be and could be if you make people who log off in water die so when they are swimming and try to log off and Back on to get In the base you could make them die.

Even when they fix cars which is in the works if been following news on their official Twitter, I still won't or have desire to drive I'm fast and efficient enough getting around map, as far as storage locker sounds cool but I don't build bases anyway I just use various types of tents in woods and camo nets and nearly never get found.

 

Alarm clock & cooking timer might have future uses like improvised explosives we never know but if not game isn't only about pvp and pve elements can be cool.

I’m a base-builder player, and always look forward to improving base functionality and defense.

Would love to see ability to add locks to sea-chests and crates that can be opened with keys or lock picks.

Similarly, requiring a key 🔑 or lock pick to start cars and be able to locks car doors, hoods and trunks needs to be a thing too.

Back in 2019, I remember being able to lock and unlock car wreck trunks and doors, would love to see that be a way players could stash items, like drop a crate or barrel in a wrecked Olga trunk then lock the trunk shut.

Had a crazy session today on experimental. I played on a high pop server that had been up for a while and desync was pretty bad, there were people with invisible guns, huge desync etc, but all that changed when the server restarted. It was still high pop but stuff started functioning much better. I did notice some strange things while cooking in the forest though.

  • When roasting chicken meat and apples on a stick, the character would go into a sitting straight animation instead of a fire roasting animation
  • Stick didn't get damaged after roasting 5 items over an open fire, it was still pristine
  • Reloading the revolver emptied all of the ammo then did a full reload with 5 bullets already in the magnum

I didn't have time to test reproducing these results or what really went into them. The lag was really bad before the server restart and I noticed too many strange things to count, but they all seemed lag and/or desync related. The cooking and magnum issues happened shortly after the server restarted so I don't think those were lag related. EDIT: Also just wanted to say I'm really glad the spear is back. Kinda hard to use atm but man I like using that thing and it's nice to have a jabbing weapon among all the slashing weapons finally. Also, voice activation talk mode is cool, toggle would be even better imo.

Camera sensitivity is super slow even maxed out and changing aim sensitivity only changes the sensitivity diagonally moving just horizontally or just vertically is the same no matter what and is way too fast

Great work by the team & some great additions here. One large detractor for me is the new sensitivity sliders & removal of a straight stick movement for an incremental curved one. With sensitivity sliders sets to full you can no longer turn on the spot as fast, which has made movement feel clunky, but as soon as you ADS its actually faster than it was before. Also noticed that no matter what the ADS speed is set to it seems to be set to max. I don't see any difference in any of the settings, may want to lower cap for the lowest speed value & heighten the cap fastest sensitivity. Also to be honest I dont see the speed of turning ramping up either with the new curve for the thumbsticks. Just slower turn speed & a higher ADS speed, which makes you feel like your lurching along until you ADS then your zooming the crosshairs about the screen even on lowest settings. Im sure it'll get tweaked before it goes to stable but wanted to mention it. Great work again though

GGs devs, Stacked update! looking forward to it. Usually I would be looking forward to wipe day but I've been playing Community lately enjoying my custom building base and I'll have it back on the first day if they decide to wipe - I have some item suggestions I'd love to see in the future

Black Mountain Backpack for Console (big please) 
Some more Rare Golden Guns, My favorite IG item is the Golden Deagle I love the idea of possibly stumbling across a rare weapon variant when I'm looting
Gun-Rack/Display of sorts for my big guns and said golden guns(big ask maybe, but would be awesome)

The latest patch fixed the ADS sensitivity but the camera sensitivity is still super slow compared to 1.16

Yep latest patch for the 1.17 definitely fixed the wonky ADS speed & slider for its settings. But the Camera sensitivity slider is still bugged, the camera/look/player turn speed doesn't change at all no matter what setting you have it on, but I have noticed that diagonal movement is extremely faster than vertical or horizontal camera movement. So maybe the sensitivity slider is working but only affecting diagonal directions?  Either way it definitely needs changing before stable branch release as the horizontal camera movement at max is woefully slow. Great work by the team as usual with updates & fixes
