spaggiari 109 Posted December 13, 2015 Hi guys I am wondering:what happend to the bow and arrow? It seems like we need to go back to the inventory and reload arrows one by one after each shot? Is that a glitch or was it made on purpose? Thanks
yazar8 584 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) I haven't tried as of yet, but try putting arrows to your hot bar and click the corresponding number after you launch an arrow with the help of your bow. Edited December 13, 2015 by Yazar8
q.S Sachiel 470 Posted December 13, 2015 Do you have a quiver or are you firing from a stack of arrows?
-Gews- 7443 Posted December 14, 2015 It won't stay this way. Sharpened sticks = place on hotbar and use like regular ammo, reloads one at a time. All other arrows = drag into bow one at a time.
sneakydudes 278 Posted December 14, 2015 i believe since the switch over from .58 we have been seeing a ton of things not working right with ammo, clips, mags, and weapons. So i would not doubt its just a matter of time before this is repaired. Its a semi small issue, but makes it very frustrating on our side.

Whyherro123 2283 Posted December 14, 2015 To the OP. What..... do you think happens in "real life" with a bow and arrow? Do you somehow have a belt-fed bow that feeds in new arrows after you loose them? :P No, you have to "reload" a new arrow after every shot, usually from a belt-or-back quiver. If anything, making it so new arrows get fed in "automatically" will do nothing except for piss me off. The nocking process is actually rather important in "primitive archery". Quivers should "hold" arrows, so they don't take up space in the main inventory, not act as a magazine.

Would rather it simple be [R] that reloads them one at a time . And we REALLY need a quiver soon. Packing 10 or more arrows eats up WAY too much space. And while we are on the subject.. DEVS! craftable crossbow bolts would be nice any day now. As is ,. i never use the xbow... hardest weapon in the game to keep ammo for....

q.S Sachiel 470 Posted December 14, 2015 longer and thinner may make them useless...Not sure, but i'm sure they'd be less effective. Not going to 'backfire' or jam like in a fire-arm, but not designed for = not going to excel in my book.
Zurvivalist 300 Posted December 14, 2015 In basic terms , Crossbow bolts avg 6 8 inches, have two feathers on the fletching , and the ( pointy end ) either uses a flat arrow head or bullet shaped tip. Also due to the force , the bolts are typically much thicker Arrows avg between 2 and 3 feet depending on various factors for intent and design . are thinner and have a much wider array of tips to choose from . Traditionally use 3 feather fletching on most arrows , occasionally 4, again , depending on purpose Their is really no reason at all we should not have an option to craft xbow bolts from sticks , using the exact same mech as arrows. My guess is the art dept just didnt finish on time , or it was just put off till later
spaggiari 109 Posted December 14, 2015 Yeah the press R to load new arrow is a good solution, but the current one is total b*llshit, needs to go back to inventory etc Cant wait to see the archery system once it will be complete!
Whyherro123 2283 Posted December 14, 2015 Crossbow bolts are much thicker and heavier than arrows, as well as being less flexible and shorter. They are thicker and heavier to compensate for a shorter power stroke in crossbows compared to bows ( essentially, crossbows contribute less power to their ammunition than bows due to the fact that the string doesn't travel as far when drawn back), and less flexible because there is less/no archers paradox in crossbows. Oh, and "most" modern crossbows, especially compound crossbows, use arrows instead of bolts.
