VSS shots over 400m its possible ?

Anyone know the range of VSS rifle mildots in Range up to 400m ?

Ok  :(      its oficial    VSS = crap  (my opinion),  Any chance in the future .....  for a good mil spec bolt action  rifle   like  M40a1, Sv 98 or AWF or Awp L96 ?

Look it's entirely possible to shoot any firearm over 400m.

 

 

It's just how much angle it needs to be on. For this you could just use some holdover to get the longer shots. The round is perfectly capable of it.

It's silenced sniper. They aren't made for longer distance shooting.

Effective range with iron sights: 300m

With PSO-1 scope: 400m

Can penetrate 2mm steel plate or standard army helmet at 500m

 

So it's pretty deadly from longer ranges but you need to learn to shoot it higher than 400m because scopes/sights aren't usually delivered with higher than 400m zeroing.

This is true. But past 400m I doubt the enemy in the target zone hearing the shot will be an issue.

Add elements to affect ballistics then they can add more marksmen rifles until then those rifles can go get fucked.

Its posible. I think you should use PSO-1 scope for SVD and practice a lot. Also, you could hit only standing targets, bullets travel way too long.

VSS is designed for short distances, that is why its silenced and uses sub sonic ammo.
