Oak bark

I'm trying to dye my leather sack black, from what i saw, i need oak bark to dye it. I can only find ''bark'' and ''birch bark'' anyone found some oak bark?

it aint in the game atm, and i think nails should do the job. im not sure if you can dye the sack, last i read it was only the hat.

I'm with Edwin, I've read the only thing you can dye black at this time is the hat.

We were talking about that in the .58 stable discussion a few days ago, it seems like when they relaxed the restrictions on types of bark to make a hand drill and use as tinder the broke oak bark. If you find an oak tree you get 2 options tor get bark but both are just bark and have no use in dying.

Thanks for all the replies. I used nails to successfully dye my leather backpack black. Bark would dye it brown.

Why in the world would nails be useful in dying something?  Is it simulating removing the galvanization chemicals or somesuch?

I will need to run back at camp, when i did this it was night time on server so, now i'm not sure anymore oO. I'll double check that tonight and let you guys know. I hope i didn't mislead you guys.

Wow. helped a lot. Thanks dude. I initially thought the "black" leathersack was just a bugged version of the brown one and that there would be a version that looked like the hat in this picture.

This is disappointing :( I was looking forward to a fully black leather outfit.
