Parazight 1599 Posted August 1, 2015 What did that have to do with what he was talking about? read carefully... I'm asking because i try to get use to play 1st person, in case 3rd person goes away. Hicks has confirmed multiple times now that 3PP will never go away.

TheStalkerMonk 6 Posted August 7, 2015 Yeah. No one liked that haystack, it was an asshole. Maybe that was a spelling/grammar mistake, or a language thing, but that part gave me a chuckle. To be serious, maybe it has something to do with your aspect ratio? Make a screenshot with Steam, upload it, and then link the url to the picture. What did that have to do with what he was talking about?please explain....i don't get it...what word should i use instead of haystack?? not trolling here i'm just curious... while we're on that subject.....you guys never say "were" i must have heard this a million times...."we was with so and so when....." aren't you suppose to say "we were" this has been bugging me for a while.....or like haystack i'm missing something.... deadjuice 64 Posted August 12, 2015 please explain....i don't get it...what word should i use instead of haystack?? not trolling here i'm just curious... while we're on that subject.....you guys never say "were" i must have heard this a million times...."we was with so and so when....." aren't you suppose to say "we were" this has been bugging me for a while.....or like haystack i'm missing something....The way you wrote before about the haystack was very vague: Also......did they replace all the heli crash by hay stack???Which heli crash? What haystack? There are many haystacks, and many heli crashes. Also, the heli crashes are dynamic, as in, they are supposed to spawn in a different spot each time the server restarts. So someone would have to know every potential location for a heli crash, to even guess at what haystack you might be referring to. I thought the vagueness of the question was funny. "Why don't we use were?"If you're talking about when I said,What did that have to do with what he was talking about?I chose to use "what he was talking about", instead of "what we were talking about", since he was adressing you directly on a matter we weren't discussion.[Also, that was a mistake on my part: he was referring to your concern that 3rd person might not be an option in the future] Hopefully that clears that up. freethink 984 Posted August 12, 2015 It's not so much the tallness of the character, it's the position of the eyes.
Jex 1104 Posted August 13, 2015 In first person the view would be underwater when the trees in the background go blue despite the water never rising to eye level. Therefore, the camera is below eye level. It's just a theory but the first person camera seems low to me.I tried to go back to the same spot and switch between views but I couldn't stand in the same place to recreate it unfortunately as my character kept on swimming. Next time I can recreate I will do both views. Or the water isn't really where it is. The stand next to each other method seems to be the quick and sure way to guage this,. St. Jimmy 1631 Posted August 13, 2015 It's not so much the tallness of the character, it's the position of the eyes.Yep and I remember that that was raised at some point of the development.
Avant-Garde 229 Posted August 14, 2015 Either the majority of the buildings are disproportionate or the characters are too big as they barely seem to fit through doorways or their heads are hitting the top of the door frames. Exactly, interiors and buildings in general are all out of proportion. Its glaring, affects gameplay (shooting from windows, taking cover, walking/running in interiors is shit, realism goes out of the window when you think about DayZ interiors) and its so ugly lol.. It's not so much the tallness of the character, it's the position of the eyes.Nope, they are really disproportionate. Get a friend of yours, go you both inside a house and notice it. You won't be able to unsee it though..More references and images here:http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/209236-what-do-you-think-about-the-building-interiors-in-this-game/#entry2095204
