COI 0 Posted April 20, 2015 Well , I searched for this topic but could not find it ... is it possible to refuel the V3S directly from the pump of a gas station ?
Red_Ensign 990 Posted April 21, 2015 the gas pumps aren't powered so you need to shoot a hole in one and catch it with a bottle. make sure you're close so you don't spill too much. :)
too-easy 56 Posted April 21, 2015 Funny...You need a vessel to put the fuel in.You can't refuel directly from the pump.A bottle works fine.No need for a jerry can.
Excanto 336 Posted April 21, 2015 There were about 4 zombies in the last gas station I found when I was driving and low on gas, I thought maybe I could just pull up to the pump and the zombies were the old full service crewmen. They refused to fill up my truck. I went down the block and came back at full speed and caught one on the road and hit him and it flipped my truck? Somehow I was unharmed and the truck righted itself so I ran the rest over. Thanks for the info on the getting gas from the pump with a bottle. I suppose you can take those propane canisters and refill them on those big white propane tanks behind some houses?? Not to get too far off topic but, is sharpening axes etc broken? tnx. tiadashi 262 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) In the mod you could get gas from the white ones with stripes and the rusty looking ones - usually zombies just jump on the back of trucks Ex, they didnt try that? Edited April 21, 2015 by tiadashi
S3V3N 1402 Posted April 21, 2015 I noticed that a Jerry Can despawns after restarts when it is empty. I'm having a bit of a problem grasping what to do with Jerry Cans, because they are too large to carry in backpacks, and I don't see why I would walk a hundred miles with a Jerry Can in my hand, when I might as well put it in the truck... I need some way to bring them back to camp. I suggest the trucks should have an external slot to put the gas can into (some kind of holder on the side). It makes no sense that I either have to leave the truck or the gascan after refueling, just because they fit nowhere together. I also liked the glitch when the jerrycan would just go into your inventory without taking up any space/slots. Somehow they need to be more practical to be of any use.
ebrim 998 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Vehicle cargo is a planned feature. Also, is refilling a truck via bottle/canteen really practical? The volumes are of such different scale compared with fuel can. Edited April 21, 2015 by Ebrim
Excanto 336 Posted April 21, 2015 The zombies never got close enough at the gas station to get on board. I parked next to a base and while in the base a zombie popped near my truck and walked over and climbed on. At the time I had a .22 so it made for nice target practice, since he never came down to get me while I fired. At some point I believe I did fit a jerry can in my hunting backpack, but it took the entire pack. I dumped everything to see if it would fit. That was a couple months ago. Just recently for the first time ever, I found a truck out of gas and a little later found a jerry can with 80% and dumped my 2cnd rifle and hand carried the can all the way back to the truck and used it on the gas tank and it actually worked. I drove back and parked the truck in the trees near nw airfield and got my rifle back. :-D
COI 0 Posted April 23, 2015 I know that bottles or canteens can be used for refueling , but ... in a game like this , PVP paradise , we cannot waste time . Mainly because everybody is looking for a vehicle , right ? So ok , thanks for your replies , guys . By the way , it happened twice : driving in a clear road , no obstacles , then BAM ! I hit an invisible pole or whatever , then I lost lorry´s front tires and , surprisingly , my shoes got ruined ! How come ???

blackberrygoo 1416 Posted April 25, 2015 Hmm landmine maybe? No it's just a terrible glitch with the vehicles handling and how the streets are layed out , OP did you just cross a bridge when you hit the invisible pole? I have gone max speed over two bridges near kamyshovo and it resulted in me hitting an invisible pole so I'm guessing it has to do with certain areas on the map and how fast you are going (maybe even just bridges are doing it I'm not sure). Excanto 336 Posted April 25, 2015 Oh, maybe you hit the invisible zombie! I saw a zombie in a field and I was going full speed by the time I got to him and I was giggling and splat I hit him and heard glass break and the truck rolled onto it's side, then rolled over completely twice and came back up on it's wheels and I was unharmed. The whole time I was crashing I was thinking "That's it, my gear is toast, I'm toast, how could a zombie flip my big heavy truck going straight into him?" No damage that I could see to my gear, luckily. If a visible zombie can do that, maybe you hit the invisible one. :-D Stop, stop! Can't you see me, give me some brains, I mean a ride! Splat!
