MadWookie 573 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) I've noticed Hicks replying to a lot of posts made recently, I like it. Just wanted to say good job & thank you, it really means a lot to see developers take the time to actually communicate with us. Thanks Hicks.& all forum staff I love you all <3 Edited April 15, 2015 by MadWookie

thznutz 112 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) Hicks is the little smiling face on each bullet i load, whispering sweet nothings as i sight in targets through my LRS..."yeah...huhuh...yah....kill'em" and yes, the dev interaction in the forum is excellent...thanks for making the time  Edited April 15, 2015 by thznutz
tux (DayZ) 325 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) I agree. Nobody knows how everything is supposed to be working through each patch better than the devs. Being able to communicate and ask them questions is valuable to us and helps us be better alpha testers, as we can relay whether things are working as desired. I just hope that all this opposition to recent changes doesn't scare the devs away. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we love to hear from you guys. umberfive 89 Posted April 16, 2015 Well, if people, although encouraged to, don't use the bug system, but complain on the forums, you have to look there. But it is great that they care for the community.
twr 43 Posted April 16, 2015 Have to admit I never saw any infinity ward or Activision devs on the cod2 forums. You rock hicks.
FlimFlamm 509 Posted April 16, 2015 I would like to see more dev interaction in the suggestion section. If they openly shared where their directions for things basebuilding and vehicle mechanics the community is an intensely dedicated, free, and demographically ideal resource which they should use to the fullest. All they need to do is ask us for opinions on things, and to share their vision with us on things like basebuilding so we can contribute relevant and useful ideas for content and mechanics.
thznutz 112 Posted April 16, 2015 i am so sad...i had a wall of text post talking about several core things related to dev involvement...dammit backspace...was a real "oh no" moment...fuck 'n hell i love the dev interaction, makes it personal, which is what this game is...every time i roam the forest. i want them to do exactly what they have been doing for several weeks now (for a longer bit actually). keep us informed as best they can about upcoming changes/implementation. if, and i get the idea they are, smart folk...they pay attention to the suggestions section, and actually listen. responses there are difficult...ideas without knowledge of the system are just ideas...the "if's" are larger than most understand. they have asked for your opinion on things, and even support a large forum so you can give those opinions. i feel like they should just take the data they are given and make the best choices for the game. at this point, those of us outside of the creative/collaborative process should concede to those that are actually doing it, trust that they listen but stay true to what they already decided this game would be...a stand alone, purpose built interpretation of the Mod, that will support modding (that in itself is nice). DayZ will be what is has been, a hauntingly familiar, infinitely varied road to death. we are the variable. the game is what it is... on a personal level, i dont want them to discuss everything they have up the proverbial sleeve. kinda takes the fun out of wandering the forest...and finding a base will just entice sniping...that sounds fun...gonna go watch me some tents...haha

I was just making a post to thank them for communicating with us, yes it was sort of directed at Hicks for the resent activity on the forums but the majority of the dev team communicates with us, Hicks just does it a bit more often :P
