45 ACP rounds far less common post .55?

Hey guys basically the title explains it all.

 

Iv got a 1911 with a suppressor to deal with the new world war Z zombies that you cant really melee without your clothes getting ruined. Which is fine, however im having a lot of difficulty finding 45 acp rounds. I dont think iv found a single box since the patch. So Just though id post on here and see if anyone could confirm this.

 

Or perhaps i have terrible RNG?

PS: I already know that loot is more difficult to find, thats not the issue. Although loot is rarer I still find weapons/ammo for the vast majority of guns. Just not ACP.

The only place I found loose rounds or ammo box for .45 acp is in out-house and UAZ. Rare like crazy.

Iv found more 7 round magezines that iv found individual bullets haha

Same, kinda makes sense though, as where .45 ACP is a commercial round, it is still however, primarily and western round.

It would be interesting to know whether or not it was intentional, or simply a by-product of the new loot system.

found one box at an mi-8 crash site and that's it.  but now that I think about it, I can't recall seeing any boxes or loose ammo in .54...

nah in .54 i threw away 45 acp bullets because i had too many.

 

Since the patch iv gone through 70 bullets easily.

 

Also since i made this topic iv found 3 acp clips. Still no boxes or lose bullets though.

Well to be fair it is A post soviet nation .45acp should be rare there.

The only real place .45 acp is common is the US.

In my search for ACP Iv hoarded 6 30 rnd mags and 2 drum mags haha.

Gear you had previous to 0.55 does not count.
Anyhow I've swapped out the AKM for a PM73 RAK for which I already had 25 mag,found it at Zelnagorsk military camp.
I still have the AKS-74U magazine !

i found quite a few with ammo in them but no stacks or boxes. i havent even seen an actual 1911 just mags.

I probably made like 20 hours of pure searching for loot in 0.55. I can't seem too find ammo boxes for my 1911, sewing kit and black cargo pants and there's no place I haven't checked, even the helis. I'm playing on a private server so it's not easy to find loot. Anyone found any of these mentioned ?

Personally I haven't found any of those items either. But then again, I havent been searching for them either (except for the 1911 boxes)

 

tbh I very much like the new loot system. Even if it is a pain to find some items.

I actually love the sparse loot but I don't wanna go into military bases just to see bike helmets and screwdrivers, would love to see the loot "logically" placed. This patch is one my favourites though so you don't think I'm hating the game ;)

A tip for people who visites military bases like Pavlovo etc. Check the green little towers, they're piled with loot.

According to an update made by dayz TV, some items have not been spawning, and the error will be corrected in the new hot fix. (Unable to post links)

 

Perhaps the lack of 45 ACP boxes/lose rounds may be explained by this? As well as the other missing items previously mentioned in this thread.

A tip for people who visites military bases like Pavlovo etc. Check the green little towers, they're piled with loot.

A tip for people who go up into these towers: maybe set down your good gear someplace safe before climbing up.  I've had some issues with the server placing me outside of towers and treestands while picking up items.  Died last night picking up a pickaxe to get at the stack of loot beneath it; the shouldering animation placed me about two meters away.  I felt kinda like Wile E. Coyote when it happened, and had a good laugh at the suspend-and-drop animation, until I realized didn't have any friends nearby to come save my pack.  :o

Its a pain in the ass that shotgunammo is so rare because its works so great against infekted.
