Found a Heli Crash near Vybor, server had just restarted, no one else was on. And guess what I found? 3 Raincoats, all in crap condition.

Yeah, but heli crashes DO work on persistence servers now. My friend actually found another one by Zelenogorsk, and the only things it had was  7 rounds of 5.56, and 2 berets

Some crash sites still have its normal loot, I found a heli crash and it had a grenade, CMag and I'm not sure what else because that's all I took.

Yeah they're kind of everywhere but at least they're good items. My current character is dressed on those and when it's not a rainy day I've Bomber jacket in my backpack because it's cool.

 

Btw one of the reasons why they're everywhere is the addition of armbands. You can make armbands from raincoats if you've something to cut it.

Dude, you got lucky. I found a Heli crash and all it had was a couple M4's, 60 round clips, ACOG, FNX and clips and a few grenades. It was raining, and all I wanted was a raincoat!

Can anyone confirm this? I saw in a different post a screenshot with smoke, but I'm willing to believe it isn't working with not seeing a crash since the patch.

Have not seen one since the new patch but prior it was based on render distance.

I found three helicopters, two smoking and one non, on our Pers:OFF server last night. I did see a lot of useless loot at two of them but at the third I found an M4. :)

I found 1 last night, smoking with a pristine scoped m4, ammo box and a load of rounds + mag for m4
