Fix these two easy/small things and the game will be amazing

The game would be so much less frustrating and more fun to play if these simply addressed these two problems that are just sloppy in my opinion.

 

1.At one point of Alpha or Beta will we finally address the fact that if your character is standing still and we start to pull out an axe, your character cannot move at all if we hit the walking buttons.  In real life you can easily start moving your legs even though you are also using your arms to pull out an axe.    Why is the game refusing to address this yet?

 

 

2.  At what point will they address the fact that for months and months now, we have dealt with the bug that a zombie who just touches you once, can somehow break your arm (but without you even knowing it) until you try to use just scoped weapons.   (every other weapon will not sway, but scoped weapons magically sway even though your character does not have a broken bone).

 

I don't know how your guy's physique or bone structure and weight is but if a half dead person does a half ass semi-lazy looking and poorly aimed and timed lunge at me......... he or she ain't breaking a single fucking bone on my body.  At least not with one of those weak and poorly aimed lunges.  

 

I will accept that maybe 3 or 4 of those weak ass and poorly aimed lunges can eventually tweak your shoulder perhaps?

 

But it's a bad glitch that one single weak ass lunge can break our arms, and the game not even tell us our arm is broken.   (So if you didn't know, and then you engage in combat, it's too late for you to realize your gun is swaying).

 

If these two simple problems were fixed, the game would be enjoyable and fun.

1) I don't know about you, but I have some trouble walking and pulling things out of a bag at the same time. I am assuming that this is where you store your axe when it is "on your back". (Because tools magically sticking to your back is dumb). I, for one, would like for there to be a forced stop and a little animation before you get to access your inventory. Better than sprinting at full speed and pressing the TAB key.

 

2) You do realize that you can break your leg by stepping off a curb, right? All about angles and stuff. Although I agree, your character should make some sort of noise when you get injured. Scream when you break a limb, get shot/get stabbed, groan when walking on a sprained ankle, etc.

Why is the game refusing to address this yet?

 

Due to the old ArmA2 animation system that only allows full body animations. The new animation system slowly gets into public testing right now ( first appearance in 0.53 Exp on the animals, along with the new AI ).

 

Whats happening with the old system is this: You press a button to pull out an axe. This will play the animation "pull out melee weapon". While doing this, you're not able to start another animation ( like "run" or "walk" ), you have to wait until the animation has been finished, unless there is another animation like "pull out axe while running". That is also why we can't eat while moving, there simply is no animation implemented to do this.

 

The new animation system will get rid of this. Give it some time, it's a big system that is just about to get implemented.

you can be sure that every soldier in the world can pull a magazine out and put a new one in while he is walking or even running. If you cannot then I do not see that as a good reason to restrict the rest of us.

My 1 and 2 Dream list is only.

 

1.Make it so tents will stay and they don't have to be picked up each week.

 

2.Fix the Portable Gas Stoves already.

i'm pretty sure he meant the weapons on your back like an axe or shovel not a magazine or pistol. and if you want realism how can we carry a full size axe on our back a weapon as well and carry a weapon all with out slings or straps as well as run at 50 miles an hour if they want to start making things authentic start by adding weight to items and stamina to the player enough said.

A magazine stored in an easy-access pouch on the front of the body is just a little different from an axe or something big and bulky stored in a backpack on the back of the body. Just a tad.

And can the invisible zombies go too? That's getting a bit silly really. As for the gas stoves, they've been in the game since release and they still don't work.

I don't know if I'm speaking for myself but I'd just really like what's in the game at present to work before cars and stuff are added... No point fixing a car up to die from an invisible zombie and lose it all again.

My one and only dream is for people to stop killing each other. I want more events like the Elektro Peace Walk we had last year. During that entire event, I was running from house to house, killing as many people as I could.

I've never had the issue of not being able to move while equipping a weapon/item.  Want to know how I avoid it?  Make sure you're not in ready mode when equipping items.

I know Sacha , I love that jacket and it seems when ever it rains or i get one little scratch on it , It gets completely ruined. It doesn't even last me 20 minuets. Ya would think leather would be really really durable.

Yup, those two boxes of 7.62x54R I left behind to make room for this sewing kit, sure would prefer to have those now instead of this ruined jacket..

I laughed way to hard to this. The beginning lured me in, the middle was interesting and the ending I did not see coming.
