PhillyT 554 Posted January 1, 2015 Too bad we can't manually ring the bell...
StayAlive (DayZ) 169 Posted January 1, 2015 Would be fun if the bell rang for each person who died, or maybe not... :D
boneboys 7988 Posted January 1, 2015 Too bad we can't manually ring the bell...Now that might be worth a suggestion to the Devs !Do it.
rickyriot 1009 Posted January 1, 2015 I like the (time) bell and I'm not sure if people should be allowed to trigger it. I would prefer the ability to ring the bell in churches (after all they should have some use) with a nice touch being that you need to have a rope in your hand to do it. Beizs 186 Posted January 1, 2015 I don't really go around Cherno that much, but does the bell attract zombies? Feel like it should, especially if we get the ability to manually ring them.
☣BioHaze☣ 7337 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Eh, if there's no power in Chernarus, wouldn't the bell be silent? I like the ringing and all but ghosts (zombies) don't ring church bells as far as I know.... Hunchbacks do. Edited January 1, 2015 by BioHaze

B4GEL 175 Posted January 1, 2015 The bell is probably rung by some kind of clockwork mechanism so i don't think there would be a belfry in which to ring it manually.
theevancat 94 Posted January 1, 2015 Do not send to ask for whom the bell tolls, for the bell tolls for thee.
RagedDrew 209 Posted January 1, 2015 Might have something to do with the time ! Pfff as if a bell rings at a certain time, what nonsense. lol.
Osprey98 7 Posted January 1, 2015 I would like it to ring every time someone dies.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg92QpjRcJk
Act III 50 Posted January 1, 2015 Clearly the bell is an indication of in-game time. Too bad in-game time practically means nothing as of yet.I heard the bell for the first time the other week (I barely go in Chernogorsk), and I thought it was pretty bad ass. Its a shame that the audio clip for it loops poorly.
Finchtastic 50 Posted January 1, 2015 I feel like it should attract a massive horde of zombies. Like if you hear it, you better gear up for war or run away as fast as you can.
Osprey98 7 Posted January 1, 2015 that would be fun. but there is not nearly enough ammo anywhere to tackle a massive horde of super genius zombies. we need more guns and ammo in the cities of chernarus.
sachad 1016 Posted January 1, 2015 I've got an SKS with 200 rounds, and a Magnum with about 90 rounds. I'll take my chances :P
Beizs 186 Posted January 2, 2015 I've got an SKS with 200 rounds, and a Magnum with about 90 rounds. I'll take my chances :P Imagine standing there, your back to the wall, desperately capping zombies as they sprint at you. Of course, one hits you and you're forced to run so that you can bandage yourself. But you're not fast enough. As you sprint, your screen begins to dim. There's no way out. All it takes to escape is one single bullet... Man, I really, really hope that DayZ ends up having real high zombie counts. I'd like to see their health reduced dramatically if this happens, though.

Osprey98 7 Posted January 2, 2015 if they add literal hordes I think the game would crash. there would have to be more loot as well.
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted January 2, 2015 In the mod town bells used to chime on the hour, you could measure it ingame with a watch. I'm assuming SA's are similar running off server time me might need to test for certain.
