I would love to see far more beach activities as the coast is most beautiful

The reason I want this is because I love the beach its really beautiful it kinda in a way remind me of half life 2 mix with far cry.

 

How cool would it be to go find an Island and loot on it?

 

For some reason I don't like far inside land too much I prefer stick to the coast and cities around it.

You know what. I would like to see a few islands and boats that we could use to get to them, more ocean based activitys too. In the games current state though, its prob will be a while if ever. Im sure when its closer to release Maybe ocean fishing, boats, a few islands and ocean survival. A new form of banditry, pirates!

 

I dont think it is at all far fetched either, or think the idea should be dissed. ARMA 1, 2 and 3 had boats, and so does the mod. Same with the OFP series.  Hell ARMA 3 has a submarine. So the more options the better.

There is a reason for that. The artwork inland is nasty, the beach is the closest thing to half life 2 / far cry its plain beautiful and makes you want to play the game. I explored most of the map and there is nothing special about inland except for looking mostly like Ukraine/Russia. Small Islands will always be far more beautiful than continents, people go there for vacation after all, its a main selling point about Far Cry.

 

With that said don't be selfish, the game is lacking Islands and more coast, has far too much of Russia.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking or trying to say. Since the DayZ Mod has Islands and boats why can't we have the same in SA?

While I am like most and want to encourage players to head inland I do think there is a case for a new town (or a re-purposed one) which would have a tourist layout rather than an industrial one. It's very common for the Russian state to create public recreation towns that catered purely for the downtime of the proletariat. Look at some of the ones on the Black Sea and you'll see what I mean. 

 

Granted we only see a tiny part of Chernarus so perhaps this is only the industrial part of the country, but as it's going to be only bit we get to see it would be nice to have somewhere that features a beach front hotel and cafes with beach umbrellas and even bathing huts and a marina rather than just big metal warehouses and metal shipping containers. 

If I had to place this new town it would be somewhere along the coast between Solnichniy and Kamyshovo, perhaps integrating Skalisty Island and/or Krutoy Cap.

I don't agree with that, there are some lovely vistas inland. Although you realise the WHOLE map, including the cost, looks Russian for a reason.

While not Russia I have spent months travelling Eastern Europe, including the Black Sea. The picture you show is represented to an extent in the SE corner of the map.

Lingor was a bit of an aberration in regard to the DayZ back story though. As if someone wanted to play Vietnam but in Arma.

You can find nets for ghili in coastal boats apparently, so I guess do a little shopping next time you're there. There are snipers who hang out on the outskirts of larger cities on and near the coast as a detriment to peaceful activity. This is a major reason to not hang out on the coast unless you want to hunt kos snipers. It's a fairly risky proposition.

Well, actually Chernarus represents Czech Republic and Lingor Islands was a custom map so it has NO relevance to DayZ SA.
