Worst first impression of a new patch yet.

 

I died of starvation after 42 minutes. That would be ok if i didn't find any food, but during these 42 minutes i ate:

 

2 cans of tactical bacon

1 can of peaches

1 can of spagetti

1 can of sardines

1 orange

1 big green dildo thingy

2 bananas

1 kiwi

4 apples

3 red berries.

 

Seriously. How the hell can you die from starvation when you eat this much?

 

And they have not fixed the bug that make the game crash when you hit exit. Three times today i was on a server that restarted. Each time my game crashed when i tried to exit and change server.

 

(BTW: I know its an alpha. I know its experimental. I am just telling about my experience)

 

 

It seems like they have set the season to winter like last time (probably December on account of Christmas). Temperature settings really needs adjustment, as the cold tend to consume energy from the character on an unrealistic and spectacular level.

Also, don't waste a lot of energy responding to Skoms. He clearly just has no idea what he's doing. The wasteland will sort him out, he'll figure it out or give up in frustration trying. Pick some damn berries, eat some apples, you'll be fine. These are very old arguments he's making and yet somehow we all do just fine...

I found my first ever tent in this game yesterday. I was on the ship, and I tried to get out of there as fast as possible so I could try and set it up, but of course 10 secs later the server restarted and the tent was gone baby gone.

 

So while I am no longer a tent virgin, I have yet to get to second base with one.

Unfortunatly our server ( DE 0-1) seemed to be not persitent. We planted 3 fields of crops and a tent. They all disappeared :/

Actually the tent bugged away with a lot of stuff almost instantly we left it :D

Ouch, that sucks. Yeah, I had found a tent too and put my gardening stuff in it. Now I'm less optimistic it'll be there when I return.

My bet is berets and stoves, still spawning in great numbers all over the frigging place.  Found a hunting knife!!!!   Oh well, here's to the server wipe I am quite sure we will get on exp today, that's ok, maybe they will fix the tent despawn.

Don't sweat it too much, tents seem to be bugged atm and despawn almost as soon as you set one up.

Don't worry. Found and set up 4 tents. All disappeared after setting them up. 2 just a few minutes after setting it up, and the other 2 after 2 restarts.  Anyone else noticing this?  Lost 2 40rnd 5.56 mags, 1911 clip, AKM, and mosin...so sad even though I know exp. is an ephemeral experience .

Actually, the little incremental updates on Experimental don't usually get a wipe, and by that I mean smaller ones that come multiple times in a week. It's the slightly larger ones that come out weekly during the maintenance that seem to be accompanied by a branch wipe.

Started the game, found nothing anywhere near the coast, which is good. Had 4 infected after me a long while. Stopped and played a bit of boxing with them. got hit once,was bleeding  but won the fight. lost blood. Got down to starving. BUT got over the hill from Cherno. There was a nice little hidden village. Cans of food, a hoe, water, and loads of berries. WHEN you come back from a black and white screen, your starving, you have beaten infected to death with your bare hands, then you live through all that. THATS what I am talking about. Now have pump shotty with grip, loads of cook meats, loads of ammo and well kitted out to survive. DAYZ, the way it ought to be :)
