If you leave the field blank, you let the game start as it is intendet and don't force it to do something else.

Got a little question were do you find the combat knife and the quiver I know they were added but were are they are they still in game.

so yeah i died 3 times in 3 hours of playing everytime when i was equipped again 

 

EVERY TIME because of a crash to desktop and fallng into death while i was relogging, because my char just continued running

 

stable is really not stable for me at the moment

The combat knife spawns at helicopter crashes, I believe. The quiver is not an item in the game at the moment I don't think.

I remember there was a quiver for the crossbow in an old version but i haven't seen one since then.

Dammit, high centered a truck on a guard rail.   So glad that isn't persistent!

 

On a happier note the exp servers were spooled up yesterday but same as .51. I wonder if this bodes well for a post maintenance exp update to .52? 

 

I would love a white Dayz Christmas.

FWIW - here is what I received today from our GSP. Looks like an update is coming to stable tomorrow:

 

 

 

Dear Client,

Tomorrows weekly maintenance of DayZ Standalone will include a patch as well as a persistence data reset.
If you would like to keep any items you have gathered we kindly ask you to save these in your character's inventory rather than on the server itself.

START DATE/TIME: 16/12/2014 08:00AM CET
END DATE/TIME: 16/12/2014 11:00AM CET
Total expected downtime: 3 hours (vague estimate)

Hey that looks promising , thanks for the heads up Riddler... I can't wait to get back onto experimental , I know it might be greedy but I hope there's a new feature to test out ;) !

I would be sooo looking forward for the "0.28 Experimental unofficial changelog" on reddit :D

 

However, Eugen just confirmed there will be an update, depending on how  well the testing goes. No details yet though.

the main thing will be fixes i guess, maybe some little additions, but bugfixing and stabilizing the game would already be awesome as i encounter at least 3-4 crashes per hour of gameplay :)

So 0.52 is going straight to stable? Does this mean that no new content has been added and it's just a bugfix?

Per your first question: yes, that's what it looks like. I would wager there will be new content since Senchi can't stop talking about the changes to the Mine at Kamensk on Twitter :p I'm kind of doubting there will be much beyond map changes in terms of "content", but simple things could make an appearance... new variants of the V3S perhaps?

Eugen mentioned that vehicle spawns are "a tad bit higher" with a lot more spawn points. No info yet if this is the only change about vehicles though.

 

But as the status update states, 0.52 will be mostly bugfixing. I think that's also the reason why it is going straight out to stable.

They said that we would have silencers before Christmas break, so I guess there will be an update of stable this week. Unless there is a big failure with the experimental update.
