Pellets on the other hand, it says there's 9 pellets in the shell in the item description in game, though I don't know if they actually have 9 pellets come out in the damage model or not.

Not sure. Feasibly perhaps but somehow I doubt it. This video has some good info

I didn't see the none. Was thinking shit son is this some new radical design?! Do they crush and recycle those pallets into super condensed pallet pellets? Does it take all of those pallets go into just one shotgun cartridge? All of these questions came to mind so quickly and suddenly...a world of frightening possibilities

It's 9 pellets, and yes 9 individual projectiles in a relatively random spread. A sawed off IZH-43 will demonstrate the spread by firing it at a wall  or hill-side from about 40m. A MP133 or full length IZH will have a much tighter spread. I'd say the sawed off effective range is under 30m, while the MP133/IZH can be effective up until around 80m. My guess is that for reasonable shock/damage you need at least 5-6 of the pellets to hit.

The things the mind spontaneously invents in a split second of misunderstanding.  a half second later you get to laugh about it.  I too did not even notice the typo and wondered if there were shells on those pallets.

I can personally confirm that you can kill multiple people in one blast, since I have killed multiple zombies in one shotgun blast before.

According to the video there are 9 pallets, shot in cone. I just want to confirm that, and if you can score multiple hits on a target\s from someone familiar with code. Because I know that its very common in games to optimize this aspect. Edited November 16, 2014 by Mor
