To the dude on experimental drinking in the lone prison just north of NWAF

Recommended Posts

There also no incentive to the playstyles right now only incentive i see is killen people for their loot back in the MoD there was always a incentive for heroe skins because it was rare and hard to actually get kind f the same with bandit skins because if you killed other bandits it would raise the humanity meter.Just gave people a goal other than loot.

Why you would just kill a guy taking a drink on an experimental server (or stable) is beyond me.

I met a German guy in the police station at Staroye (loot everywhere) the other day (DE-05), we had a good old chat about the game, experimental builds and the forums, spent about half an hour just chin wagging and laughing about different bugz.

This is my story as they say...

Call it what you want.  Guys got a gun and at a military base. I have NEVER been at one where some guy was "friendly" ever.

Ok let me resume. You have never ever met friendly players on a military base. But I have. When I think about why you haven't and I have... it comes to my mind that the constant in your experiences and my experiences are you and me. Mh... brings me to: it your own fault.

Or to say in an easier way: Of course you will never meet a friendly player there, if you shoot them before you know, if they are friendly... like the drinking guy... :D

btw. brings me to another point: maybe not you kos-killers are the tough persons, because you kill in fear to be killed... maybe the players like me me who speak first and risk to be shot or cheated are the tough ones. Sounds logical, not?  lol

At this stage, there is no point. But when they implement disease/the need to purify water. You will either need to start carrying water purification tablets around for your canteen. Or you will need to find canned drinks as they are a clean source of water and some nutrition.

I wonder what is "not pure" about ground water that comes from pumps. I drink it all the time when I work in my garden and I never, ever even get the slightest bit of stomach trouble.

Drinking from a pond or lake, okay. But there is absolutely nothing about ground water that causes a need for purification.

Not in a military compound

NWAF is like a friendly zone XD no one goes there, and if he was in mid drink you could have held him up easily.

Because if he did not he would have been nailed.

I assaulted several people on experimental with varying melee weaponry because I wanted to check the "improved" melee.

(It was horrible btw.)

There are reasons to kill other players on exp.

Are they ever gonna make it so you can actually hear other players running? Can't stand that you cant hear players running inside buildings you are in.

You should loot the military spots in SA in the same way you do your shopping as a man: get in, get your shit and get out.  Even better: send a women to do it while you enjoy a cold beer.

As I understand it will be only pond water that will carry a health risk, pumps and rain water will be fine, canned drinks will be fine likely... there is a chance that water found in a canteen or bottle will not be purified too I think.

Not to mention that with all the dead bodies around, it is feasible that some lakes or bodies of water have become contaminated.

Seriously you got pissed that I blew you away. You're on a high pop in a military compound and you drank like 6 pops while I approached. You left the door open so you couldn't hear me come in. Drink in a safer spot bud.

Another one bites the dust.

P.s I love that doors make noise now.

usopro! :emptycan:

Depends on the well. Shallow wells like a sandpoint often draw from a high water table that doesn't filter out all contaminates. Often older wells are not properly set up so that contaminates can leak into them during a flooding or from some other overflow. At that point the well can be unsafe to drink from. Sandpoints are all but illegal in the state I live in for drinking purposes.

At my Grandma's Cabin back in the 70s-80s you basically had an underground tube running to the lake with filters on both ends. These days you could never do that.

It was me!!

I have been sober since a apocalypse hit but then i found a sweet AK101 and ammo in the base and beside it was a six pack of beer!

I tried to remember my AA meetings before apocalypse....but....but....I "fell off the wagon" man!

One beer led to another....

If the guy was humming "no woman no cry" by Bob Marley then it was me....

Lol you make it sound like your some hard nut but you're not, anyone can "blow you away"  while you're pre-occupied like going through the animation of drinking.

You totally missed the point.  Not trying to be "Hard".  Just found it funny that the dude who totally gave away his location at a high traffic area lost it on me like it was my fault.

You shoulda punched him in his stupid head and knocked him out, stolen his gear, cuffed him, and force fed him disinfectants spray while yelling, "Hydrate this fothermucker!"

But noooo... you had to go the easy route and blow him away immediately. I mean, maybe he would have shared his refreshment? Maybe you could have been friends?

ShareACoke.png

Or maybe he would have blown you away as well and wouldn't have wanted to be friends, keeping all of the refreshment to himself. Selfish jerk.

Do you think I survive every time I am at an airfield? heck NO.  I just don't come on the forums to whine about people killing me every time I die at an airfield.  I've been killed without seeing my killer way too many times to count.  Who's fault is it? MINE.  I was seen and I wasn't aware of my own surroundings. I learn the lesson and move on, which this guy I happened to kill should learn the lesson.  Don't make noise or stop to quench your thirst meter in a freaking airfield.

-To be Killed on sight you have to be in sight.  In this instance the victim was KOH'd Killed on heard.

I agree with this and add I find it hard to believe that burnt meat automatically makes you poisoned.  I've eaten many a burnt burger, sausage, steak and have been totally fine afterwards.

On the burnt topic - burnt toast is often one of the household items that helps with mitigating poisoning, I believe it's because of the carbon and absorbant nature of the dried/burnt bread. I *think* that burnt meat could have a similar effect (although it wouldn't be as absorbant). Thus burnt meat poisoning you is contrary at the least. You could argue that the carcinogens in the burnt meat will raise your cancer risk over time (this is true), but it certainly shouldn't hurt your DayZ character.

Can there be a sticky thread for posts like this? There've been a few times I've wanted to make a 'to the guy' thread but I've not wanted to clutter up the forums.

I went into the fire station at NWAF to find a guy sitting at the stop eating food. Shot him 8 times in the chest with an SKS at point blank, and then ran the hell away. I felt bad for killing him, but I have no faith in DayZ's netcode. Too many times I've been killed by people who've not even been facing me. For all I knew he was getting his gun out and I just couldn't see it. At least he learned not to eat in a freaking fire station. Plus I said sorry, so that makes it okay...

lol, once i got KOS'd while running into the firestation at NWAF ( my fault, i wanted to get out of the open so bad that i didnt check the firestation for players ) The other dude immediately shot me from close distance with his SKS, probably paniced because i ran into the station like a crazy one plus i had my gun out.

Once my dead body dropped to ground, he opened his mic and asked "Yo dude, are you friendly?"

I laughed, and hit respawn.

There's a variety of new weapons added nearly every patch, I'd say shooting/hitting other people with them which is pretty much their primary purpose is considered testing.

Not to mention that gear has properties, so its worthwhile knowing that if you shoot some one in the head with one of the new helmets or the chest with a new jacket how much protection it offers etc.

PVP is part of the game folks, it's highly intertwined with nearly every aspect of the game. Shooting each other is testing.

Not true, they're adding a bunch of weapons because it will gives us more diversity and different kinds ammo which make it harder to find the ammo we need. They prolly nerf the weapon drop too. In the end it will make the game more interesting. Edited by Heradon2k

i've been thinking that a "Missed Connections" for DayZ would be both popular and reeeeally funny.
