So where have all the Mosins gone?

Just wondering if anyone knows where the Mosins spawn now? Search high and low (Piano house, military bases, schools, hospitals, etc all the places they used to be) for the last couple of days and all I can find are SKS's (about 100+!!) and the occasional AKM or AK101.

 

I have 80 rounds of ammo, LRS, PU Scope, compensator, bayonet and burlap sack camo for the mosin...but not the actual gun itself!!!!

 

Any help would be appreciated!!!

They seem rarer lately to me too, but the places you're checking are the ones to look.  In my experience you're less likely to find them at the actual military buildings though, such as barracks, jails, atc tents.  It's usually the more civilian style ones.  Police stations are generally ok too.

Like the man said, these things are all over the map, more prolific than feeding stations.  Try junk yards too, I found mine in a pick up truck.

Mosins can be found on the backs of brown pickup trucks as well. Never forget to check the vehicles. 

 

There are two types of pickups...one has the trailer door hanging diagonally from the back. These spawn loot in the form of backpacks, food, magazines, residential weapons, clips, ammunition...

 

But the brown trucks that have the pipe in the bed never spawn loot. Know the difference, always check the right one.

I believe those are mobile bee hives, just look at the small "entrances" for bees.

And yeah, just today, on experimental, found one Mosin right underneath it.

Ahh, but they do, just not as often as the other truck, even the pick ups on their sides will spawn loot, right now, as far as I can tell the only vehicle that NEVER spawns anything are the BMPs.  Even the BRDMs are good for an SKS almost everytime I've found one.

 

Check everything to be safe, that is the best policy.  I, however, do not ever check apartment blocks, seems like a big waste of time.
