Where are the mosins?

Usually they are in the piano house and police stations. But those are mostly already looted by people who are already geared to the chin.

Pretty much anywhere. You just have a bad luck. My mate spent two hours looking for a saw and didn't happen to find any in Chernogorsk.

After a couple days of not seeing one, I saw two within a half-hour of each other today. One near a caravan and another in an industrial shed. Just to play around with it (my favorite Red Orchestra weapon) I shed a tear, tossed my CZ527 into the sea and went looking for ammo.

They seem to be rare on "persistent loot" servers. Don't spawn back into the buildings you normally find them...

But then again, the loot system is pretty broken at the moment on those servers, not a lot of anything to find in any of the populair cities.

They might be rare, but on non persistent servers they are there  after a restart in the usual places. (Under those blue carts, in police stations, piano houses, even barracks now...)

Long range scopes are found in garages, buildings with the bar in it, the yellow houses with the storage shelves. Can also spawn in ATC, hangars, pretty much everywhere...

There is a town about 1000 meters inland from Solnichney, just along a dirt road, called Dolina. It has a Police Station that is unloosed 80% of the time (I have concluded this from extensive personal history with the town).

 

I find Mosins all the time in  the rack room. And if you are having trouble finding a LRS, just take a 15-20 minute run to Bolota right down the shore, or NW Airfield right inland above the town.

You are definitly doing something wrong mate. I've got 4 chars, all of them have at least two LRS.

 

You can find them in every place now that spawns scopes in general, meaning they are no longer rare at the moment.

As I've said in other threads, bitches be triflin' the loot spawns for most vehicles are not working. These include lots of cars, the pickup trucks, the jeeps, and the blue trailer hitches scattered all over Chernarus. 

These spots very often had Mosin rounds, stripper clips, and the Mosin Nagants themselves. Until then, buildings will be your best bet. Or murder. Murder is always an effective method of social class mobility.

You can find them also in industrial areas. You know those big industrial buildings that are in Novo? the ones that you have some ladders'n stairs to climb up? There you will find man. Its a good loot place imo.

Guess I got lucky but right after the update I found a Mosin in the first house I went in, (think it was a piano house), then 5 minutes later found a LRS in a nearby garage. :D

I find them in barracks, piano houses and baracks....even in taverns. I find the long range scopes and comps in the same places, and more often in storage units. There every where and no where is the best way for me to discribe it. Depends on the server, and what random loot spawned.

Yeah, I know where to find them... I also got a pristine LRS and even a grass wrap is in my bag... but the mosins won't spawn for me...

 

searched 3 days in a row (only civilian buildings, not Military) but always only SKS and carbines. At least I will be very happy, when I finally found the mosin. :-)
