I never knew until today you could climb the novo clock tower, all the way to the top.

 

Ive been past it a hundred times and never through to go inside.

 

Anyway, i was stunned at the loot in there, and thought it might be a server glitch, so in order to experiment, i server hopped 4 times to see what was there. I found:

 

4 mosins

1 sks

1 .22

2 double actions rifles

1 shotgun

3 magnums

1 canteen

1 first aid kit

3 longhorns!

2 long range scopes

1 crossbow

 

On top of this, I probably found 40-50 pieces of food, 40 or so mosin rounds, about 80 9mm/.45 rounds and about 60 or so pieces of clothing, amongst other junk like screwdrivers, damaged can openers, weapon cleaning kits etc.

 

On just one table, was 7 pieces of clothing in one room!!

 

So yeah, give it a try.

 

Although i think its a cracking sniping spot and much better than camper sniping one of the airfields :ph34r:

Was one of the best kept secrets for those not afraid of stairs who explore. I'm the only guy among my group of friends who goes upstairs in Firestations these days and they didn't want to follow me up one of these until i told them about the loot. In a fully looted town with one of these building, there is always the possibility that nobody had bothered with this building.

no I found quite a few bits myself, I thought i got to the top but no it keeps going. You get quite a bit of vertigo up there too, not a lot of room to move about

it is a interesting spot...since i haven't been in cherno lately can anyone confirm if the old building there was replaced by the new one ? 

 

( secret hint:  you can climb the lightning rod outside to reach the top too :D  )

I read this post. Freshspawned. Ran into clock tower on low pop server (4 people) looted the tower. Somehow ran into some dude on the top of the tower. Shot him with my SKS... 

 

I AM FREE! No more saying hello to people and getting blown away! I came up behind this guy and unloaded 6 shots into him. I looted him and got out of dodge.

I have a bad habit of breaking every chem light and lighting every flare where ever I find them.  I just wish you could see lights from further away, seems the light bubble is much too small.

Novo spire is god.  You take mad shots from the yellow chapel / apartment housing estates to the N/E when you're in the top open square room before the ladder too.  Up on the tip of the spire looks like a death-trap as you have limited cover, and the open door will block you from making a full revolution as it stands out into the walkway :).
