Bandit leader: Boys, say what we take Mr. newspawn here into the woods and have some fun with him. Jones go cuff him up.

 

*Survivor pulls out a small object in the span of less than a second

 

Survivor: ALRIGHT EVERYONE BACK THE FUCK OFF! I've got a live grenade in my hand and the pin's out. If you kill me now the grenade goes off and BOOM we all die. NOW LOWER YOUR FUCKING GUNS!

a lot of coding modding etc. i gues to make the mechanic to put the pin again in the nade  without blowing into the sky, it would be nice but it have a lot on counters, and it would be really buggy :s  i can imagine robbing some guys by this , you leave the place with everything , you put againg the nade in your hands and BOOM

Anything that adds to the realism of how weapons work in the real world is fine by me, but I think it might just encourage KoS to the nth degree.

My favorite so far is the "Xmas Present" method.

 

You spot someone watching over an area, maybe a sniper or just someone waiting for an easy kill.. You roll up to him so as not to make a sound. You drop a grenade on top of him. Now stand up and activate it. Then run away as fast as you can while saying something like, "MERRY CHRISTMAS BRAH!" He hears you running around, makes a move while you are.. and BOOM! He dies in an instant. You simply circle back and profit. 

 

What this means for DayZ is this: More people will die an embarrassing death than before. A lot more.

Not true. 

 

Ive spawned in fresh, and many others like me, before where there just so happens to be a body just meters away. You walk over and find that it was a fully geared player.. boom, from fresh to fully geared in 0.5 seconds.

So far I never even saw 1 grenade...have several hours of looting military locations in 0.47.

If you only have a crowbar and a group of bandits hold you up then it's a pretty easy decision. You run into the middle of them and start swinging. You have nothing to lose and probably could use some extra practice fist fighting. Don't let a bunch of video game nerds bully you.

I don't think this would ever really work out, the current grenade explosion is placeholder no way will it always be as devastating so people could just run away.

 

I would love it if we could rig it up to go off when we died though so *BANG* "Lol let's see what gear he has...what's the ticking?" BOOM YOU ARE DEAD.

Perhaps that could encourage people to be bandits instead of KOS'ers but meh, I doubt most kill for gear really it's just camping on rooftops or wherever for fun.

Kill AND an explosion? Well, that's just gonna be awesome isn't it.

 

 

Maybe if we could alter the fuse to make it more like instant or one second but what random idiot knows how to do that?
