Can't combine helmet and gasmask any more?

Can't you combine a (ballistic) helmet and a gasmask any more? Is it intented? A bug? At least it's unrealistic (that they can not be worn together).

Pretty sure it's intended. Not sure why, though. Maybe in future the gasmask will have a use, so it's deemed unbalanced to have head protection and, say, chemical protection at the same time.

 

That's entirely speculative, however.

Yes, it was in a patch, and in my opinion is really dumb. Go look up gas masks, and most pictures you find will be of soldiers wearing helmets with gas masks. If they are worried about unbalanced protection, then remove the protecting factors for the mask and other items, cloth doesn't effect bullets at all anyways.

It was removed because it clipped the helmet item, so like the Tactical Vest the feature was removed due to it looking weird and unfit.

its stupid thay thay removed it, gas mask is SUPPOSED to be attached with ballistic helmet. funny thing is, gas mask and ballistic helmet is the only 2 thats not clipping thru eachothers.

they redo the gasmask due to clipping Problems. It was stated somewhere on reddit that they wherent happy with the model from arma.

The clipping is the reason it was removed. Seeing a direct quote won't change anything. They're working on a new gas mask model.
