Hope it isn't a ww2 rifle because the devs would rape it by giving it bipods and modern optics and make it 7.62x51mm

There was a mauser in early preview shots, Im going for that then the Lee Enfield.

 

But knowing the dev's capacity for throwing odd stuff at us it could well be a De Lisle Carbine.

Well the Remington 700 is pretty common around the world.

 

I don't think we will see rifles like that until they start controlling how the loot spawns. Deans wants to limit how many high-powered rifles are present in x amount of servers so every person isn't running around with one.

I assume it could be standard AK or FN FAL, other options don't fit the setting.

 

None of these are bolt action.

 

My money is on a Hunting rifle, remington 700 or Mauser 98K even

Yeah, I hope that it's not another WWII bolt. I'm not opposed at all to having a Mauser or SMLE in, I'd just like to see a more modern rifle right now.

 

Hopefully some kind of hunting rifle (perhaps a CZ550, I loved that in the mod) with some dedicated hunting optics. That's probably what's coming down, as most of the weapons have been pretty low-rent.

 

Or, I'd love to see a full-on military sniper rifle (M24/M40, some kinda' AI sniper rifle, or a Sako TRG). But I think a McMillan TAC-300/338 would be my personal choice.

 

 

Simple, modern, sleek, can sort of pass as both a "military" and "civilian" rifle.

 

I think we're in serious need of "high-end" weapons, especially with both the M4 sucking and helicopter crashes coming down the pipes.

All the more reason to add the remington 700 it'd basically the king of customization.

With the accessory system they could add stocks thst marginally increase the accuracy, bottom metal for magazines, custom scope bases such as a 20 moa base for even more elevation adjustments.

R700 has pretty much anything you could want when it comes to customization.

CZ550 would be nice because it's my fav from the mod, hopefully they add in a new scope with a built in rangefinder, and split the current mosin ammo into 7.62x54 mmR and .308 win.

CZ-550 isn't that old. It's a newer design than the Mosin.

Granted, the CZ-550 is based on the G/K-98 series of rifles, which go back to 1898 with the Gewehr 98, but the Mosin was also designed in the early 1890s, so...
