Ive been rolled back FIVE TIMES back to fresh spawn within 3 hours. Every time i manage to kill a sniped and take his gear, i get rolled back. I know ive not been killed, because my mate watched me leave the server everytime.

Well its alpha, bugs/glitches will happen. Yes it sucks but it easy to get loot. Just get off the coast and yes days is cruel like that, don't get attached to the gear you have or that gear you just killed another player for.

So "your friend" watched you leave the game geared EVERYTIME... and you still cant figure out who is killing you?

If you join a server and discover you can't load your gear on a server.

You probably can't save your gear, if you stay and play on that server.

The game really isnt ment to be playable right now and roll backs are honestly the smallest of the games problems.

 

Far bigger fish to fry. Especially now that the core gameplay is pretty crappy.

It happened once at the beginning of alpha (dec 2013) but back then the hives were not as defined as they are today. (try to always go back to the main screen, and see your character before switching servers. also, don't dupe, or log out near possible zombies or threats since you stay 30 secs after logging out to prevent combat logging....)

Its just pretty annoying when my group asks me to run up the airfield to provide overwatch and then i have to say sorry go on your own ive been rolled back for the 3rd time in less than a hour, im not ranting about anything, i want to know if there is a work around so shush

It's an important factor. Thus the reason I asked. But like I said, it seems to be specific for certain behavior, as I've joined experimental branch and went back to stable every time there has been an experimental patch, and got the SA since December 18th 2013, and got 1 wipe around December 19 or 20. I spawned a few times as a fresh spawn but immediately logged out and logged back in. This fixed it and I had all my gear back. In 287hrs of Stand Alone DayZ, never got a real wipe. Sad to hear it often happens to you.  :(  (Do you go back to the title screen and see your character before switching servers??)

I don't think there are any workarounds; at the moment, I think it's just something you have to deal with. It sucks, I know, but this early in development, it's something to be expected, unfortunately. At least you aren't the only one dealing with this issue, or similar ones, so don't be too disheartened. Just keep thinking of how nice things will be once the game gets to beta status.
