So, tonight I died and spawned in some town I'd never seen before. That was fine, there were 2 other fresh spawns there and we did some fresh spawn meelee and ended up allowing each other to go our separate ways. This town was in a cove by the water somewhere with a bunch of train tracks that went nowhere, lots of rocks and trees around, etc. So trying to find my way out I take a random smaller paved road, and keep following that to a coast. I then turn left and follow that coast. Now I'm in the middle of NOWHERE, a grassland wasteland with no trees for as far as the eye can see. There is literally nothing around, anywhere, except for the coast and barren grassland.

 

Where. Am. I? Holy hell I have no idea... and no map.

sounds to me like you spawned outside svetlo, and took a turn into the debug plains (aka off the map.) you have 2 options- return the way you came, or wait to die of dehydration/starvation.

By the way you described it, it really sounds like Svetlojarsk. It's a new town from the stand alone yes, but it's been here for a while now. If you go west from there you'll get to a really new town, Chernaya Polana. Awesome little town with new buildings and a lot of good buildings! (firestation, market, 4 piano house, 4 grand-ma house, 2 new wooden log pubs, a third alittle east of town, and the scrapyard that has about 5 or 6 wrecked UAZ jeeps with military spawns)

But in all seriousness without a map and compass your screwed till you can get your bearings on the coast lol.

Edit: If you don't have a compass, use the sun. If it's rising, keep it on your left shoulder and if it's setting keep it on your right shoulder. That way you'll head south, towards Svetlojarsk and the rest of Chernaurus, away from the northern wasteland of the great Hole... :D

I managed to find my way back into that obscure town. I think I may have headed north until the world nearly ended. I nearly starved and turned back around...

You cant do that, unfortunately - its not a place - you can't log in there, you can't get out, unless you're lucky.. in the mod ive been lost in there and found bodies of the dead littered to the horizon.. it's limbo, its the afterlife..

yeah surely op is in svetlojarsk, go to the coastline if u can, and turn right (south) you will arive back at sveltojarsk or berezino eventually
