Bloody screen when you take damage

Instead of the abrupt flashes of greyscale where your screen turns black and white when you take damage i think blood forming on your screen is a holistic improvement of a laughable game mechanic ported from a A2 mod. Pretty much like CoD but there is a reason this bloody screen mechanic is featured and implemented in almost every fps game in the entire genre, it is a good feature that players enjoy. Although featured in the CoD series which is synonymous with poorly made games.

Edit:

Find your own examples of what you think the screen should look like when you take damage and have low blood from other games and post images of them.

Poorly made my buttocks. inb4 "codfag" but dear Lord they may recycle the multiplayer but that campaign is just, wiaowee.

BUT YES. As much as I enjoy being color blind when I am damaged, I would love to see more blood.

The CoD series is more synonymous with poorly-made players.

  1. So you can imagine your bleeding?   DayZ was created to break away from redundantly obvious curves.

An alternative to greyscale and "bloody screen" could be a form of tunnel vision, where you keep seeing colours and in focus but peripheral vision is reduced.

Although stupid, i'm a huge fan of turning color blind and having a fountain of red spray jetting out when get shot.

That looks more like someone splattered cherry juice on your windscreen instead of blood. I think having red vision or some sort of whiteout or blackout with blurry vision from the pain after beeing hit for a while would be more "real" than having a piece of glass with drops of water on it in front of your face.

Thats actually a good one, a shame on moderators when they post comments less constructive than members. I think that combined with peripheral blurring would be good, and increased head bob.

I remember this one time, when I was little, I fell off my bike and scraped my knee. Jam immediately splattered all over my eyes - from where I don't know. It was a pretty bad scrape, but a few seconds of breathing heavily healed me right up.
