w1lg5r 70 Posted April 22, 2014 Most backpacks are big enough.I would rather that they weren't able to be accessed from backpacks.
Tricky_Vic 25 Posted April 22, 2014 I suggest you should be able to break the crossbow down before you can do that.

gibonez 3633 Posted April 22, 2014 crossbows are huge, heck most crossbows are bigger than assault rifles.
akafugitive 244 Posted April 22, 2014 A holster in system that would allow it to be strapped to your backpack while still having your m4 forward slug would be nice also.

joe_mcentire 2074 Posted April 22, 2014 how about simply strapping ON the backpack. i'D love to see certain items you could use to gain more space in/on your backpack and also making that visible on the player ingame. like having the canteen outside your backpack, or even strapping your helmet on top of it etc.

So OP...do you wish it WAS or WASNT available to pull out of backpack.. cuz ur post and title contradict one another.I want it to be available to store in backpacks but not to grab it from backpacks, it wouldn't be good for trust issues if someone could hide on of them and access it.how about simply strapping ON the backpack. i'D love to see certain items you could use to gain more space in/on your backpack and also making that visible on the player ingame. like having the canteen outside your backpack, or even strapping your helmet on top of it etc.or both. Strapping is great and would look great, but i would like the option to transport in it too.
nl 986 Posted April 22, 2014 Pfff, some players seem to want to have it all on them: an M4 with ACOG and LRS and a suppressor, a FNX45 with suppressor, a sawed off shotgun in a chest holster and a crossbow in or on their backpacks and of course all with dozens of ammo for them...this game is about survival. you will need to decide constantly how to devote your precious space. Once we need to built bases, cars, gather firewood and maybe stones for fireplaces, hunt animals and carry their meat, looting pans and pots, medical supplies, gather gas cannisters back and forth to our camps and you will have no more room for probably one primary and maybe a back up pistol. And I think that is a good thing. This game should NOT revolve around weaponry imho although a lot of the topics are only about fighting.

The crossbow is still small enough to fit into a backpack, i'm not suggesting that you should carry an armoury around with you.
-Gews- 7443 Posted April 23, 2014 That is one large backpack. Just going to repost here. Lemme toss up a little doodle. Not only is the crossbow longer than the M4A1, it's also wider than the length of the M4A1. As for weight, they are about the same. Does a crossbow have the ability to shrink itself and defy the pull of gravity? No? Well, in that case crossbows should not be treated any differently from other weapons or items. If you can do rifle plus crossbow, you can also do rifle plus rifle... there should not be any discussion on this subject limited only to crossbows because that makes no sense. The crossbow is 37.5" long, the limbs are 35", the bolts are 20" each and the quiver will also take up a lot of space. The M4A1 is only 33" long (stock extended!).The Ruger is only 37" long. The Blaser is only 39" long. Anyway you look at it the crossbow and accoutrements is going to take up way more space than these rifles.
