Deathlove 2286 Posted April 4, 2014 That simply isn't realistic. Civilians buy guns from all over the world. As do the various armed forces of many nations. You are thinking "Soviet Union", not modern day post-soviet blocs.I love when ppl get all angry over this crap lol.

gibonez 3633 Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) I agree with this. Savage is pretty fun to shoot. Perfect gun IMO for a .223 bolt would be a Savage hog hunter. Threaded muzzle + built in iron sights Edited April 4, 2014 by gibonez

The owner used it to hunt bears. He had balls of steel. I wouldn't go out hunting bears with less than a howitzer.
tandwan 250 Posted April 4, 2014 Yes lets make everything more communist based! LMAO "IN RUSSIA COW SHOOTS YOU!" This is a strong arguement, i'm glad you contributed. That simply isn't realistic. Civilians buy guns from all over the world. As do the various armed forces of many nations. You are thinking "Soviet Union", not modern day post-soviet blocs. And granted there are people in the United States with AK's and other various weapons from other countries, but it's not the norm. I was more referring to putting things such as Russian bloc weapons in military spawns and make them more common then you would anything else. I'm not sure how you would accomplish having things such as M4's and such spawning in but things but i'm sure it could be accomplished. The biggest thing that gets to me is finding US - OD Green BDU tops and bottoms floating around complete with American flags on the side. I like DayZ standalones' feel of immersion currently and just would feel a little disappointed if we threw in everything else out there. DayZ was a prime example for me with American and British even German DMR's floating around and even large caliber AM rifles. With that said, granted civilians will have some non-bloc weapons, so make them a lot more uncommon then the russian made counterparts. What really threw me off was someone mentioning Mk17's..... really? Come on...
gibonez 3633 Posted April 4, 2014 What really threw me off was someone mentioning Mk17's..... really? Come on... Don't worry I am sure the PKMs, AKM,ak74m, aks 74u, saiga 12, RPG7s, spg9s, mp433s, vss vintorez and the rest are all coming. As for the mk17 yea that would be a long shot, that weapon would rare in the US let alone in some Eastern European country.
St. Jimmy 1631 Posted April 4, 2014 I like to see more this stuff and some stuff that Europeans mostly use.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_the_Czech_Republichttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_modern_Russian_small_armsThat CZ 850 Bren especially sounds pretty coolCurrent M4 is enough. igor-vk 909 Posted April 4, 2014 I think they should put good old M16A1, no fancy atachments, only ironsights. How it get in Chernarus? Smugled US army surplus. It would make good counterpart for AKM, as they were on oposite sides in 60`s and 70`s. Keep atachments for M4.Also, I think AKM should be without atachments. But AK-74M should have rails and atachments (cobra sight, GP25, 40 round mags, drums)

I mean just look at the mosin nagant a 100 year old weapon , mounted with a top of the line 2014 variable high powered scope, Somehow modern bipods attach too. Although I do sort of like the approach of having a plain-jane AR being somehow more common than the tactical AR.
louist 163 Posted April 9, 2014 I don't see the point either, it would be almost identical to the one we have now, and also I don't like the idea of even more AR15-based rifles in Chernarus.Especially a mid-length, if they are set on introduce a semi-automatic AR15 why not go with a full 20" rifle for variety...We already have, what, 90 different combinations for the M4A1?How many of those are truly viable, though? Katana67 2907 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) Torchia! Look here! http://www.luvo.cz/products/index.html http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2012/04/09/luvo-prague-the-czech-ar-15-maker/ Czech-made AR's! AR-10's! .308! .338 Federal! Rails! Magpul! Prague! Things! And they also distribute Barrett products (i.e. M98B and M82A1). Edited April 9, 2014 by Katana67
-Gews- 7443 Posted April 9, 2014 How many of those are truly viable, though?Actually there are 1152 combinations. But only 756 combinations have both a handguard and a stock. Only 72 combinations have dual Magpul, so I would say only 72 variations are viable. ^_^
gibonez 3633 Posted April 9, 2014 I dont want to see any more AR rifles till more variety in other styles of guns is out.If it's civilian owned guns people want why not the Vz 58? It is civilian owned in Czechoslovakia and easily available in semi automatic, as well as available in full auto but applicants for that version are judged on a person by person basis. Fine choice for a upcoming weapon. I am honestly saddened there is no talks of adding more bolt guns to the game. Game needs lots of hunting bolt guns, long range match bolt guns, and maybe even a scout rifle.

hombrecz 832 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) I rather see another Ar variant especially one used by the military that occupied chenarus as opposed to something stupid and unlikely like a SCAR, or a Steyr AUG Hopefully we will get SA vz.58 then! EDIT: picture removed, you beat me to it :-/ EDIT2: full auto Samopal vz.58 is not available for general public at all, just semi-auto. weedmasta 784 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) I don't see the point in adding any M4/M16 variants into the game. I also don't understand why some people find the SCAR and Steyr AUG "stupid" or unlikely. Plenty of countries who are part of NATO use both rifles. (edit: use both rifles as in one or the other) Edited April 9, 2014 by weedmasta
