Grimey Rick 3417 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) about three people (maybe 4) outside myself and a dev have contributed something to this thread that wasn't either "it's alpha" or "gtfo variant" speaks volumes. Okay, I'll bite. My opinion on the development of DayZ:SA: If you're going to advertise a game as an alpha and throw alpha reminders into people's faces at every juncture, don't charge money for it until it's reached a level of maturity that will keep most players (for the most part) satisfied. This new method of charging people to test your game still seems ridiculous to meIf you're going to yell "ALFER" every time someone posts something that directly addresses a poor call of judgement, poor implementation of an idea, or poor communication from the developers to the public, you're not helping anyone, least of all the community you seem to defend so vehementlyDevelopment seems to be very slow. If you're going to develop a game, remember, we're not your friends. Stop posting pictures of LAN parties, etc. This isn't going to help the public's opinion of your progress (especially when little to no progress has been made in the past month). Remember, we're your investors. We invested* in this product.Server optimizations should come before adding fluff. I realize that it's been mentioned countless times that there are two teams working individually on bugs/optimizations and content, but it might be a better idea to release less "content" (if you really want to label sewing kits as such) and more optimizations I guess that covers it. I don't feel that the moderators are biased, at least not LoK. I'm not an ass-kisser, trust me. Some of them are morons in my opinion, but I definitely wouldn't call them biased. I've seen a few of them disagree with things done by development. @pacific_coast: You remind me of myself a few years ago. solodude23 649 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) /\ I don't think weed has to do with his personality/behavior. That's offensive to weed! :P ok there it is!       :thumbsup:Maybe next time create a constructive thread. ;) If you'd like to reply to my post regarding your OP, then refer to page 3. But I appreciate the childish replies, it really paints a picture of who you are and lets me know to take your posts with a grain of salt. Daemonkid 493 Posted March 15, 2014 Pacific. You seem to be the most emotionally invested person in this here thread. You whine about everything, you complain about the direction the game is going. You keep making these dim-witted posts. Most people here enjoy the game, and we understand what criticism is. I have my fair share of complainants about the game but I don't come running to the forum to voice them like a whiny toddler. Voice your opinion in a clear, concise manner and get straight to the point. You're trying to be troll-bait. You blow everything out of proportions. Like I said, you care more about this game then the rest of us. We see DayZ SA at this point in time for what it is, an Alpha test. Criticism is welcomed, suggestions are welcome. Whining and complaining is not.

CrazyCorky 40 Posted March 15, 2014 I would love to hold these dev's feet to the fire... Problem is we don't have a road. If we had a roadmap of development I'm positive we would be there with pitchforks and torches in hand!!
Sebidee 167 Posted March 15, 2014 Yeah I was thinking this earlier as well. Why are the community not allowed to point out flaws and make suggestions when the game is in alpha, a.k.a still has a bunch of people working on it. Would it really better to wait until it's finished and THEN point out flaws when it will only have a small patching team?
Deathlove 2286 Posted March 15, 2014 "Everytime someone says "It's Alpha", this game takes a week longer to make." at this point i think we'll be getting a notice that beta has been delayed to 2016 due to complications surrounding desync while removing supressors around dogs while on horseback but someone will complain about it on the forums and the replies will be the same apologetic kissassery as now there is something to be said about holding someones feet to the firestuff get gets done quicker that way i don't get the level of fanboydom and excuses this community makes for the snails pace of developmentthe elitism is unjustified for a lot of you, yeah i played the mod too! and i read the alpha disclaimer... but...is there a reason to follow the development to release anymore? watching the introduction of all the shiny new features that pad the game and add nothing isn't going to fundamentally un-flaw this game, or make it worthwhile to keep playing through the next year(s?) until it is "finished" running around with clanmates on Teamspeak is a stop-gap, an attempt to make the game "playable"just because you aren't bored doesn't mean the game aint boring as hell right nowdeathmatches in elektro are not the point of this game. tldr = i wish people would keep it real, stop being tryhards and fanboys and actually talk about what could make the game better also this was a rantim still playing and will kos you and your companion petshope this remains interesting enough not to flop on release and fade into cult-gaming-obscurityDont forget the part about this being a "FLAWED" game to. Perhaps try following this http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/177017-pending-changelog-experimental-branch-042116002/ and learn to understand why patches get put off. Here I'll even copy a small piece from it just so you get a better idea. Network: Issues in some cases of zombies, or players potentially being invisible. Is that what you want going live into the stable branch??

I have made a few threads about features I would like to see and why they would help things. I still got the alpha shout down though. If you someone is building a house wrongly then you point it out while it's being built. Not when you've moved in. Isn't that the whole point of Day Z at the moment? It was to point out that these threads, such as this one, are not constructive in helping out the flaws in the game. It's just self entitled whiny people who assume that because they put money down that they have every right to complain even tho every time they start the game up they have this popping up every goddamn time.
