Ok looks like we might be getting the update

If we get the update as planned, the operation will run this Sunday and a time will be setup once I've conferred with the CQF and TMW tomorrow

Time or event will be confirmed and a countdown will be online and setup showing your local area time at the latest of Saturday

Server will be chosen based on how well the connection is and how many players are online at the time, once security have secured the area we will release the server to those part of the operation and release publicly once most of us have arrived

Location will be given 1 hour before starting time to to those part of the operation so they have time to get there

Safe zone is confirmed to NOT be in the south east area so could be anywhere else

I have been gathering other friendly players secretly for an upcoming operation

Operation Sanctuary

Our mission will be to set up a safe zone in (CURRENTLY CLASSIFIED) and videoed for youtube

The Regulators will run security in different positions and a number of civilians who are friendly that will be assisting

Im working on recruiting those from trusted sources at the moment

civilians will need to bring food, water and medical supplies and we shall enter a FULL server and assist anyone who comes through

We will have to approach survivors and attempt to tell them that they are entering a non KOS zone and must keep there weapons away, except melee for zombies

It will take place on a weekend, to maximize our numbers and the server will only be given in PM to those recruited ( more on that at the end of the post)

A trading post will be set up as well as a medical centre

Rules of the sanctuary:

Anyone drawing a gun is likely to be shot, only security are permitted at all times to have weapons ready

No KOS

Attacking another survivor unprovoked will result in security shooting that survivor, you have a right to defend yourself even if not security, it's not a dictatorship, if you feel threatened or are attacked then use what force you have to use

Anyone spotted aiming at the safe zone with a sniper rifle will be shot

Anyone logging ininside the safe zone will be told to log out, and shot of they refuse

Respect the security rules, they are there for your safety

Anyone is free to leave at any time, peacefully

Visitor rules

A visitor is someone who has been brought into the safe zone or is not trusted as a member of the original safe zone

Visitors must have firearms holstered, unless engaged they must not draw their weapons, use melee against zombies

Must comply with security personnel and remember, you are a guest and we will protect you if need be

All visitors must be escorted while inside the safe zone, do not stray from the group and if you are split up call out

Visitors are not permitted on teamspeak, and groups of more than 2 are not permitted to stay in the safe zone permanently

Citizens

These people are those who are part of the operation but not a security member

These players are assigned tasks such as food distribution or medical aid

However unlike visitors, they have come from a trusted source and are permitted to use whatever means they deem necessary to protect themselves if security are not nearby

They do not have to keep their weapons away but must be lowered and should they feel threatened or a visitor draws a weapon at them they are authorised to defend themselves even if firing first (as visitors are not permitted to draw their guns, this is a breach of the rules)

Should the CQF turn up, they are considered Citizens are are authorised to have their weapons drawn, but lowered as not to alarm other residents of the safe zone

As a citizen you have every right to defend yourself

Try to call for security first if you spot something suspicious or your attacked, but feel free to fight if you have to

Security

Security are limited to regulators only, although the CQF may be considered to join the defence if I can get them to come by

Security are the only people permitted to move around with weapons drawn at all times to ensure swift retaliation from an attack

Security are there to protect and make sure the trades and medical aid go smoothly

If you are interested in becoming part of the safe zone, we have slots open for medics and traders, if all slots are filled you can still drop by

The goal is to protect those inside and assist passing survivors

DETAILS such as time and location will only be revealed to trusted survivors and heroes, this is your reward for sticking it out this long (extensive research will be done for all players applying to be part or this event)

HOWEVER the server will be announced publicly and bandits will have to search the map for us

It will be a place where you can trade, give or receive assistance, and perhaps find some new friends

The server will be main hive, regular and we will be waiting to at least after the update is applied

If you are a friendly, friendly group or hero you may apply here, anyone applying who had registered an account after this date will never be accepted and we will be checking your posts to see what kind of person you are

Those accepted will be given citizen status (see above)

This will be on a full server, so there will still be bandit attacks and I'll announce the server publicly but not the safe zone location

In addition, a number of small events such as boxing will be held to fight for prizes

This event won't be held right next to the common spawn points, we are testing various locations away from elektro and Cherno and balota to see what will make a good place for this operation

Its so cute how much effort they are putting into an utterly pointless activity, since:

2. Nothing will have changed since once they all log, or die there will be no evidence it ever mattered.

Well actually zombies respawn now, and I've seen first hand both friendlies and bandits die from them on experimental servers

Why do you think I was waiting for the update?

There will be people who need help now thanks to zombies

There's no reason to do this at all, except to get the friendlies groups working together and see who we can trust for future events

We are stronger together and can aid each other with more trust in the future as well as help people along the way

There won't be evidence at all, not even the youtube video myself and about 5 others won't be recording

So yeah, I'm sure it will be forgotten about on a couple of days

We are actually running our own event to attack this event, and how are you contributing to this thread/event when all you do is insult others who have a right to express their opinions on this forum.

Last time I checked forum is defined as a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. People are just exchanging their views on the particular issue presented. So leave them be.

Nope we are going to join a server with about 15 people and our numbers will make it to about 30

So those 15 people could be anyone from bandits to friendlies that know nothing about the event and the other 10 slots are for people from here

No, the people I've chosen all have come from sources where their posts in the past have proven them friendly

Firstly people who come in our safe zone are allowed to remain long enough to get aid or trade, then they are sent on their way

Out security team is made up of well trusted people who have been in these operations before and they know when it's acceptable to fire

Besides we have a number or other protocols you don't know about so even infiltrators might get a surprise, I'm sure we will have one or two, but we have a plan for you too

Can't wait, it will definitely be fun and a good experience, TMW has helped me out twice since I joined the Alpha so if you guys need a sentry or bodyguard to help a nearby survivor just let me know.

Because the last time I tried this with my own clan, of about 8 people

 

We gave medical aid to 3 people and only 1 bandit that tried to kill us

 

We are now trying on a bigger scale with more people and resources = more security and gear to help people

 

Yeah there will be battles, but in the past its been about 50/50 bandit and friendly encounters

After reading the first couple of pages I just couldn't read any more. I think its an interesting event that I would love to partake in and could really careless about all the people complaing. If they don't want to take part thy can go to another thread. There's only so much you can do in this game and any kind of new even can make things fun. I get that there will problem be a lot of fire fights going on anyway but it'd be boring if there wasn't. Besides the event seems to be well thought up. Only after the event will we know how successful it'll be.

This is real cute. Only people who need help hiding from zombies need this place. I'd say everyone hunting you guys doesn't need help killing zombies, but there's probably a noob KoS group out there. As for mine, respawning zombies are just another two clicks of an ax.

I wouldn't expect someone of your play style to understand how or why people are friendly

Good for your group, but pretty much everyone still ignores zombies in a gunfight, and so far I've seen a lot of morons shooting at us only to get torn apart while we sit back and watch them bleed to death

You say your group is different, fair enough, but most players are dying to zombies

Have a look at some of the rage threads about them

For people like you and me they are no problem, but whether you care or not there are a lot of players who need help now
