Either way as much as i hate people who simply reply to threads with "alpha" that is the only response i can simply give to this :/ New animations need testing before they can be tweaked. Shut your fucking whining and come back in a year or 2 when the game is closer to final release - also take any of your complaining friends with you while your at it im growing bored of posts/videos of different things that are broken that will obviously be fixed at some point down the road.

Actually, you can't make multiple accounts after suspension/banning…trust me, I've gone through it for nearly the exact same reasons.

I don't see how could they stop from creating more accounts if you keep your mouth quiet about your past profile. But I hope it doesn't come to that.

Anyways - yeah animations are pretty bad. Especially at current experimental build. I tend to aim my cursor to the right - allot. That fixes hitting for me.

Note that not every melee weapon hits at the dot/reticle. It's pretty much up to you to get the feel for different weapons and adjust accordingly. In this instance you were aiming way higher than you should have (which is actually pretty noticeable imo).

Only because of my experience in the experimental and fighting 5 zombies with a crowbar. It became...tedious at best and I remember how frustrated I was getting because my hits were never connecting. 

 

The little words popping up, just reminded me of my cursing :)

 

I am sure animations is on the cards and will get further looked at. We are only just about to hit the third month of pre-alpha, we have one heck of a ride to go :)

Yeah, I either use a fire axe, fists, or run, unless I have a firearm  :)  .    Using a firearm is dangerous because of all the KOSers though, so .....   calculate your threat level and go from there.

Though we can expect that the dot is not necessarily the impact point, the animation seems to be happening if the guys shoulders are in his ears. A lower angle of attack would probably feel more natural from the players perspective.
