Sprinting while shooting handgun

Recommended Posts

Will they make this happen? Like sprint and shoot with one hand? Extremely low accuracy of course, but it would look sweet and realistic

LOL you wouldn't be able to hit anything while sprinting and shooting!

Most people in DayZ can't hit anything while standing still...

Just because you'll be less accurate than a Stormtrooper, it doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to do it.

It would be awfully hard to hold a gun up while running as fast as you can.

I say you should be able to but you're pumping your arms normally so all your shots go directly in the dirt and maybe you screw up and shoot yourself in the leg.

I would like to be able to shoot while walking and running.

Of course the accuracy of the guns should be terrible when moving but it would be more realistic and feel more natural.

Walking and running yes, sprinting no. Sprinting is running as fast as you can, pulling a gun and trying to do anything with it is going to take you back to running.

okay dude but we're talking a FULL ON ARMS UP AND DOWN SPRINT. Like you're trying to do a 40 yard dash sprint while aiming a gun and shooting.

Please do not try to tell me that these guys in that video are "SPRINTING".

We're not debating whether or not you can accurately fire a gun while "moving", we're talking about the accuracy of the firearm while moving at bat-shit-crazy-hell-on-heels sprint.

its jogging... its aimed fire. and they are hitting the targets... so dont TELL ME ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO LAY DOWN SUPPRESSIVE FIRE WHILE RUNNING/SPRINTING.

when a soldier runs to another cover he is well able to shoot in one direction, no matter if he misses or not. he can shoot. and to shoot unaimed u dont need your legs.

As a former Marine let me set the record straight. You can't move faster than a brisk walk while shooting because after you go a certain speed it's impossible for your arms to not pump up and down spraying rounds into the air and at your feet. It's just not possible. /sarcasm

This may be a little off topic but I feel that you should be able to sprint at the full speed when you have a pistol out equipped, just sayin'.

Have quite a few buddies serving as police officers. Sir, it's extremely unrealistic. If you don't stop, settle yourself, then squeeze the trigger, you won't hit jack, unless jacks off to the side, buying a coffee.

The only time people shoot one handed, is when one arm/hands been disabled, or unless they've seen to many sucker free Sundays on MTV.

Not only is the zero recoil control, the shock from your feet hitting ground, and transferring that energy to the rest of your body, your couldn't keep your arm steady enough to even take aim. Now I am far from a handgun expert, as I only grew up with rifles, and I could be very wrong. Common sense dictates otherwise though.

If you say anything other then Mcrd, then you were junior varsity, sir o7

Wouldn't the problem be due to a lack of proper weighting to counteract the impact from your legs, kicking your arms and firearm into the air? Even if you flex and lock your arms, your shoulders will still float them off center.
