I Like the Mosin and Fire Fighter Axe because they perform perfectly for how I use them. The Mosin is fantastic at long range and the fire Fighter axe is incredible for close range city combat.

Mosin because it's a weapon I'm familiar with and it has so much awesome history. Also, I have a thing for bolt-action.

Fireaxe out of necessity, melee needs to be looked at. My go-to will eventually be some type of knife.

Cough, you forgot Machete.

I cannot vote.

To you, with love. You now can select the Machete

SKS in hands, mosin on the back. SKS handles so much better than an M4, and is frugal on the ammo use IMO . Plus some metal blaring in the background. But you can listen to whatever you want :P

SKS

m4 feels too inaccurate (although that may just be a result of my bad aim from taking a really long break from arma)

mosin is bad in close quarters

as for melee, firefighter axe of course, it's the only melee that 1 hits zombies

Blaze 95 + the splitting axe. They both fit so well and feel really authentic.

SKS just becasue ammo is common and its badass. Python is good to becasue of not having to have a magazine, so it would be my handgun of choice.

Everyone picks fireaxe because its the strongest.

The meleee needs to be reworked from the ground up.

Oh man, no one likes the shot gun right now. If thats not a red flag to the developers not to fix it or make some new better versions than i dont know what is. XD

M4 - because of customization possibilities and plenty of ammo.

Firefighter Axe - because 1 shot killz!

Splitting axe is better for camo cover though.

I usually keep my fire fighter axe in my backpack.

My trusty Sawn-Off and a rifle. Haven't played with the rifles much yet. Had a Blaze but died with that character without even shooting it and I have an SKS now, but same thing - haven't fired a shot yet. :p Looking for a Mosin because I like single shot bolt action rifles.

The Sawn-Off is for clearing buildings and general protection in the cities. The rifle is for when I am scouting and waiting on the outskirts of a town.

I found a chest holster too, so eventually I'll stick a pistol in that when I find one but I don't know if that will replace my Sawn-Off or not.

For melee I've only had the splitting axe so far so I'll have to go with that. Kills zombies in one head hit and so it fills it's purpose fine.

Everyone picks fireaxe because its the strongest.

They pick it because it's the only viable choice in most cases. Every other weapon (aside, perhaps, from fists) is woefully inefficient.

After the ballistics update I've fallen in love with the FNX. It's really a nice and useful sidearm now. I've ditched the magnum on my character for one.

The M4 is still my preferred rifle, simply because I can carry ammo more efficiently (bigger stacks, bigger magazines), and because it's ridiculously accurate when you get all the attachments for it.

The SKS has a nice noise but I find its accuracy a letdown.

The melee weapons need a lot of work, because aside from the two axes, every other melee weapon is worthless, useless garbage.

I used to love the mosin but it has become the worst choice for me since people can take more rounds than it can load to kill (at least it feels that way).

Some time ago it was awesome even in close combat because if you hit your first shot everything was fine and you could compete with m4 and sks. But now, in the time you can shoot mosin one time and this single shot can hardly kill a well equipped person, you have 30 m4 or 10 sks bullets in you...

So right now I stick to m4 or sks but I don't like them because of their lack of accuracy past 400 m and especially I don't like the sks because I can't mount the lrs and can't attach the bipod....
