I dtk how people get killed or are afraid of zombies in this game. There are such a non factor at this point.

The zombies in DayZ Mod were something to fear as a fresh spawn and a neucance when geared. They had an efect oc gameplay and I feel as though these Standalone zombies are not strong enough and there should be MANY MANY MANY more zombies than what there actually is. Yes I understand its early alpha im not demanding for more zombies right this very instant im just beating the dead horse some more.

yeah run run run ... been known to dance around em to grab some loot too but if I'm bored I might punch em around for a while - risky at best. I was outside of one of the sobors, novy I think, and attracted like 5 of em and let em chase me out of town then I sprinted to a tree line when they paused to look for me again I did the sneaky walk back into town and looted till I had an axe, they eventually found me again but hey I had an axe by then.

Also easy to lose in trees. Just don't go into a building when they are following you....

Yes, I play both the mod and sa. Very different. Can't wait for them to punch up the zombies in sa.

Oh. You can aim for and punch them in the face and knock them down.

My favourite way to kill them is with the fire axe. They are often unresponsive if you sprint up to them and you can kill them before they react.

Likewise, if they are chasing you, sprint back toward them. They are awful at hitting you if you come up too fast. Easy to axe.

In general, and if you want to avoid them, just run away or go up stairs - although with that latter one they can climb some stairs, I have found this out the hard way by taunting them half way up the stairs then they ran up about 5 or 6 and swiped me!

If I'm in a particularly belligerent mood I'll give them a fist fight, which can be quite fun until it all ends in tears.

However, what I would never do is log out because of a zombie. In fact I can't think of anything that would make me log out. (Edit: Sorry, just thought of something, when the hackers would take over a mod server and start randomly bombing areas and killing people from the console, that had me logging out)
