Just saying that i may be giving this forum to someone else on this site (don't know yet)... i have to much work to do in real life and progress is becoming extremely slow on this forum.  It is not decided yet, but it may be in the future.

Yeah probably that, as it has a smooth upper receiver, so it would be a A-100 series as it also has the side rail and folding stock which you can't just put on a AKM normally.

Also can you change the yellow font, it is quite bright atm

What yellow font? Were you talking to me or Alexei?

The AK-74M has a smooth dust cover. It's just an AK-74M, nothing special...

You can see this as well in the model that was shown in some early pictures.

CZ weapons are manufactured in Hungary I believe, and CZ makes tons of great handguns, rifles, and a few military grade weapons. The CZ-85 (handgun) especially I would love to see because its 15+1 9mm capacity. CZ hunting rifles are also a great fit to this game in my humble opinion. I would love to see the standalone lean more towards civilian style firearms and make the military weapons a bit more rare. The mod got a little ridiculous at points with everyone having military gear.  https://www.google.com/search?site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1616&bih=871&q=guide+gun&oq=guide+gun&gs_l=img.3..0l3j0i5l7.2488.3653.0.4325.9.9.0.0.0.0.86.507.9.9.0....0...1ac.1.37.img..0.9.507.HZugF8GLO0E#q=cz-85&tbm=isch&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=4G4EPyWT8gEywM%253A%3BX0eEc9wg-Pj-7M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.gunsandammo.com%252Ffiles%252F2012%252F04%252FCZ85-Combat_001.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.gunsandammo.com%252Freviews%252Fcz-85-combat-review%252F%3B600%3B400

Additionally there a few .357 and .44 mag rifles out there (Ruger makes some bolt action versions, Rossi makes the circuit judges, and Thompson makes break-action single shot variants) that would be great because you could carry a handgun and a rifle that both share the same ammo type.  https://www.google.com/search?site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1616&bih=871&q=guide+gun&oq=guide+gun&gs_l=img.3..0l3j0i5l7.2488.3653.0.4325.9.9.0.0.0.0.86.507.9.9.0....0...1ac.1.37.img..0.9.507.HZugF8GLO0E#q=Rossi+circuit+hudge&tbm=isch&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=ytTFcUuw7Oqp_M%253A%3BMzLNenk4WtrcqM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.yankeegunnuts.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2011%252F08%252FCircuit_Judge.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.yankeegunnuts.com%252F2011%252F08%252F06%252Frossi-circuit-judge-good-intentions-arent-enough%252F%3B800%3B205

One last rifle I would like to throw out there would be a Marlin Guide Gun which is a lever action short-barreled rifle chambered to 45-70. That round is about the size of your entire middle finger. They're called guide guns because Alaskan bush-guides carry them in their planes because its one of the few rounds capable of stopping a Kodiak Bear in its tracks. Alask being as close to Russia as it is seemed to make sense. https://www.google.com/search?site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1616&bih=871&q=guide+gun&oq=guide+gun&gs_l=img.3..0l3j0i5l7.2488.3653.0.4325.9.9.0.0.0.0.86.507.9.9.0....0...1ac.1.37.img..0.9.507.HZugF8GLO0E#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=Hb4t8YJ_jN8_7M%253A%3B6BtHbH2FlhdF5M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Falaskashooters.com%252Fguide_gun1.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Falaskashooters.com%252F_457_guide_gun.htm%3B1024%3B667

"- The M134 is unnecessary and the only real places you'd find them would be on helicopters (Which I don't think they should do) and on wrecks (in which case they wouldn't work without power)."

Very true, but imagine if you could mount it to a fortified location and power it with a gas generator... I generally don't care for the ridiculous amount of military weapons you would find in the mod, but it a military helicopter did crash it is conceivable a player could salvage the gun, mount, and ammo off the wreckage.

OP your entry on the M134 is wrong. It is not a "Vulcan". The Vulcan is the M61 20mm cannon. And the G3A3 wasn't developed in the 1950s, it was a later variant of the G3.

Appolgies to everyone.. i again have a ton of school work to do currently.  I am pushing the Machine Gun poll to Sunday (3/16/14) at around 4:00pm Eastern U.S. Time.  The organization may come either tonight or tomorrow.  The poll for the Shotguns will be taken down tonight and i will try and get the results up!

You really should add the MG3 to your listing.

And the fact that it is used by the Russians in ArmA 2 and in Call of Duty: Black Ops II giving it a sense that it is only an "elit3-level special forces shotgun of d00m!1!111one".

Most people think of the 20-round variant when they see it, and nearly everyone on this forum is opposed to anything that has high-capacity and/or shoots long-ranges or does a lot of damage.

Probably an AK-103/AK-104, then, as those are 7.62x39mm guns. The guy in the first picture is definitely using an AKMS, though.

They don't use Ak-100s. It seems to have a different flash hider than them anyway. Plus, it's finish is worn off. Not something that happens to fast. It may be an even older AK, cuass it doesn't have an M receiver. Also, AK-103s are virtaully identical to AK-74Ms.

Rails can be fitted onto them with modifications, same with the stock.

Anyway, i saw more than just those two by googling "Russian invasion of Ukraine" Including a Suppressed AKM. That was the only one that was a bit different than both.

Peoples, who vote against the Saiga, what are you doing?! Saiga is very common shotgun, even in US.  <_<

They just saw the CoD version. For God sakes, it isn't even a military shotgun, its not full auto either!

Exactly! For example, look on the standard version of Saiga-12:

Message to the community:

I am looking for someone to take over this forum for a while. I have to much work to do in real life and am unable to keep up with the updates I promised so many times. If anyone is interested, please private message me.

Another reason for why I am giving this forum up for a little is due to a new game (Arma 3 Breaking Point) which I have grown to like. I am taking a break from Dayz, although breaking point is like Dayz, it is not the same. Again, please private message me if you are interested in taking over this forum for some time.

I will most likely be returning in late May (school will be over).  Work will still take up my time, but hey, i have summer break on the days i am off.  I just can't stand to see all this work to die out after we put so much effort into it.

It has a 100 style receiver, no ribs on the top, also to use a folding stock on the AK-47 or even AKM would recquire making modifications to the receiver, so thats a lot of work. Also the AK-103 is in limited service "23px-Flag_of_Russia.svg.png Russia: Used by various special police groups and spec ops groups. It is also in limited service with the Russian Army" Especially by more "spec ops" groups as they prefer the extra penetration. Also the flash hider can be a 3rd party modification, hence excess wear and slight differences to the normal one.

Thats not the Standard version of the Saiga 12. That is the version modified for importation into the United States. Our gun import laws suck ass. The factory version of the Saiga 12 has a pistol grip, the fire control group is further ahead on the receiver and has a rifle stock with no grip. The Saiga 12 is more common than casual video games imply in the civilian sector at least. It's a pretty cool gun and runs well.

Info from Izhmash website:

"The "Saiga-12" shotgun is manufactured in four versions: "Saiga-12", "Saiga-12S", "Saiga-12K", "Saiga-12S ЕХР-01".

The "Saiga-12S" differs from the "Saiga-12" in the availability of a special folded butt and an operating handle. The folded butt makes carrying and storing the shotgun more comfortable. The "Saiga-12K" has a short barrel and a trigger/firing mechanism locking device to prevent the shotgun from firing when the butt is folded. Being an export version of the "Saiga-12K", the "Saiga-12S ЕХР-01" is not equipped with a trigger/firing mechanism locking device."

I own a saiga 12 that I had to convert with American made parts to revert to it's intended design, that config has a butchered fire control group to make a complaint model for importation to the US and a stamped plate to prevent the receiver from being exposed. If it had to be modified from it's original configuration, it's not the "standard version" as you stated.

As Gews said, the standard version you and I know was made to comply with the GCA of 1968 as amended in 1989 to confer "sporting purpose", which I may or may not know of, but didn't feel like talking about, which is why I nominated Gews. Regardless, it's all verbatum law from the third reich. I'd rather not go into it.

I think we all know import restrictions are pocket infringements on 2A, I don't think you'll catch hate for venting frustrations on such things.

I wrote only about appearance of base version (Saiga-12, without "S'' or "K"). Almost all configs looks same: long forearm and fixed butt with semi-pistol grip. Only two - with AK-style buttstock combined with pistol grip.
