I did several long crash site runs last night and didn't see a single crash... It always seems to be like this at the beginning of a new patch. My theory is that all the servers default to p:on, admins haven't got round to changing them, or their descriptions... :(

 

Perhaps others have had better luck - a combat knife, at least, has been found.

Last server update I found heli's on persistent servers the first and second day or something.  Then never saw one on persistence again, very odd.  I'll let you know if I see one!

Honey I can tell you from hunting Heli's yesterday. Found around 15 American heli's. The loot is fucked up atm. We found 3 m4's and 1 smersh vest. We have determined that the raincoats spawning at the sites are sucking up spawn points for guns and such. I will keep my eyes peeled for one though for you.

 

I will PM once I have filled out some other orders for M4's.

1 m4 per 5 helis.  Much better odds than when I used to do a lot of hunting.  First m4 took me like 16 heli's.  Am on my way up to do some hunting, but have to go to school soon.  Will be on tonight, best of luck and thanks for keeping an eye out for me.

So apparently smersh vests still spawn at MI-8 heli crash sites. That makes it like 1500x common than it used to be.
