After watching the FPS drop Rocket had on his stream, when he got near a certain player, I took note. Later that night I was playing on a fairly populated server but was way up north beyond the rail line, and noticed a sudden FPS drop when approaching a farm area with garages. I am always on alert but with Dean's stream in mind, I thought it strange I had this sudden and rather huge drop in FPS (from 60+ to 30)...so I though perhaps there is a player about. Sure enough a few minutes later I was shot at by a lone player...I managed to nail him once with my magnum then took refuge in a large shed. My fps eventually went back to normal and I got the hell out of there....

 

Anyway this just to say, other players with bugged gear are causing FPS issues for sure. Too much of a coincidence for it to be anything else

 

Yep, sudden performance drops are a great indicator that you are getting close to another player.

I didn't grab the tweet but Dean said it's going into experimental for test and will be part of the next update if it works there.  He's asking for people with the issue to log into the experimental to help test this out.

Does anyone know if I will lose my current non-experimental character if I go into the experimental build?

I really want to take part in the testing, but on the other hand, I dont want to "quit" on my DayZ bud who is logged out right next to me :P

No you won't. Experimental servers have their own hives for regular and hardcore.

Hopefully all goes well with the new experimental build and it gets pushed to stable soon.. like, tonight.  :)

Hey Guys, i didn't found any post with our noticed Problem,

Since the last update my friend and I have a sound bug if we reload the Magnum...

It sounds like a Telemitter without connection and it's as louder as any other sounds, so playing with headset nearly hurts in ear.  :o

Same here, but for me and my friends, most of the time it's when we log on a server. Sometimes it happened and sometimes not.

But yeah, I'm already deaf and playing with a headset still hurts when you hear that horrible sound :(

 

Also, this is my first post and : Good job to the devs team, each time they give us a new patch, read the change log  is like opening a gift ! :D

Yeah, me too... on logging in. Maybe a broken sound resource for that reloading sound. Strangly enough, my mate didnt get that broken sound.

i don't mind making this guy a Multi MULTI millionaire, as long as he and his team continue to put so much hard work into this game and continue to keep the fan base informed as superbly as this. :thumbsup: :beans:

 Make an official bug report and attach a small video link with examples of the sound if you really want to help out.

I played at monday with three teammates. I walked with one of them near mogilevka while one friend had some desync like 57000. I run away from his position and a copy of my char stands right behind him. (Invisible for me)

He attacks this copy with his fists and my graphics turned into black and white and i take some damage from his attacks. For me it had looked like he punches into the air far away from my standing point. My desync was zero. Checked with the player-overview binded at "P".

We tried this bug for about three times and i always got some damage, when he was attacking my char copy.

 

Is there someone here, that had the same experiences with desynced players within the last build?

Still stuck on "you are dead" and lot of other way more serious bugs like "uncontious" on login and fall damage is redicoulosly high. glitch trought stairs = dead. This is what happens when you rush out an update, why not wait and get it tested first =) but no FPS issues or performance wise issues =)

 

Cant wait for it to be stable :D Take your time and make it perfect :D

 

I got a friend who's also stuck on "You are dead" status, plus i have a broken leg due to a fall smaller than my character height... pretty ridiculous because even a ninety years old grandpa would'nt break his leg with this kind of fall :)

Only he does.....
Theres no ETA on optimization, it will happen slowly during the Alpha/Beta, over the next 1-2 years.
Simple as that really :)

 

EDIT:
Ohh and if you are refering to the memory leak, it should be fixed with the hotfix we got, just now :)

i talked about the memory leak. they fixed the textures but im still getting 13 fps on the lowest textures.

before i had stable 30 fps on high.
