This is about customization!

To be able to create a custom character to look like yourself or anybody! [Height,Weight,Race,Tattoos] photo upload like "EA Game Face"

To be able to add your clan emblem to your Clothes,Weapons, Vehicles, Strong-Holds, Ect..

To be able to select Traits & Genes [May give more or less Stamina, Muscle, Accuracy, Hunger & Thirst]

To be able to set Ranks within your Clan,Group,Squad,Strong-Hold [For access to Stong-Hold perks & inventory]

 

Strong-Holds if they come~[When They Come]

A Build-able base depending on the size of the Clan,Group

A Strong-Hold Flag [Clan emblem] 

A Safe for storage [Clothes,Weapons,Vehicles,Food]

 

Zombies

A Group of Zombies

All Zombies attack if around you [Had 7 zombies around me but only 3 attacking]

Different kind of Zombies [slow,Fast,Big,Small]

 

Big Server Population

Ok so 40 to 50 max server is too small

We would like to see 100-200+

no thanks. i dont want servers that big. most of the human population is supposed to be gone, i dont want to be bumping into people everywhere i go.

Maybe not 200, but I can see servers being able to have the option of boosting the servers to 75-100. With the customization, it must be limited but good. Allow TOO much customization, you start seeing stupid shit. Clan flags that are just dicks and tits(come on you know it will happen, I don't want it too but it will). Basically what I'm saying is of the community wasn't filled with immature kids and squeekers like we always see, these would all(mostly) be great ideas. But, sadly, like most great games, the community will fuck it over. End of rant.

After that last rant i guess I'll finish up with a better idea. Leave it for the modders, no offense. The devs have much more urgent things to add and features to inplement. Their modding community, however, LOVES this shit. Just look at Overwatch and Epoch. Or those "10000000 Vehicles Fully Militarized Server!". This has a good chance of being added by mods, I jut can't see it being added into Vanilla DayZ, sorry.

Are you saying that because you think H1Z1 is bad..?

 

Because these ideas are better fitted to H1Z1. Not DayZ.

 

- More customization on how your character looks would be nice. Nothing like game face, though,

- Clan Emblems would be abused, but meh.

- Traits & Genes are arcadey.

- Ranks w/ set permissions make no realistic sense.

- If I can single handedly collect the resources for and put the time into building a massive base all by myself, I'll damn well do so. If I have a group but we don't want to be seen as a clan, we'll build whatever we like. Again, arcadey.

- This one is really just a repeat.

- They're already adding world containers. A safe may be one. Honestly, I don't think it's that secure. There has to be at least some way to break into it, so hiding shit is better. That's why I don't really see any point in bases, either. It'll be found. It'll be stolen. The only way you can (almost) guarantee your stuffs safety is just stashing it in backpacks in remote locations on the map.

- Hordes are already planned...

- That's a bug. Never heard of it before though. They should all attack you. I've run through Cherno and had at least 10 chasing me after a restart.

- Zombie types are arcadey, again. I assume you don't just mean like those hoppers that we had for a while. If you do, well... Yeah. It exists (though they've been removed atm for some reason).

- 200 Pop servers would be awful in this game. It's not a deathmatch. I like the PvP element, but it's also still an apocalyptic survival simulator. 200 pop servers would result in you running in to people every five minutes. Not suiting to the game.

How come everyone thinks having 200 slot servers is a bad idea?

Just imagine,a server divided in huge clan colonies walling off and repopulating whole cities.

Having massive firefights with each other,turning the Chernarusian landscape into a post apocalyptic war zone.

An advanced customization system,would be awesome,but the engine would probably explode if the devs were try pulling something like that.

There has been talk about addin your clan emblem on clothing,maybe it will be part of the "advanced communication" implementation mechanics that are planned Q3 on the roadmap.

If you want to be better at something,perform that action more.

Like if you want more stamina,then run a lot,if you want more swimming speed,then swim a lot,if you want less shaky aim,then shoot a lot etc.

I'm against a system that predetermines your charachters strenghts.I'm more in favor of the "no pain no gain" point of view.

Setting Ranks within your clan is one thing,but perks are just to arcady for a game like DayZ.

Construction (base building) is Q4 in the Roadmap.

World Containers (storage) are Q2 in the Roadmap.

Imo a building should portray,the amount of resources,man power and time spent to achieve it's creation.

Large scale building should be an impossible achivement for an individual survivor.

 

 

A Group of Zombies

We are expecting the implementation of the new zombie AI soon on Experimental.

That means the introduction of stealth gameplay will be back.

Additionally there are plans to make new zombie types by baking clothiing textures over the zombie models.

The final product will be a variety of different zombies varying from age,gender and size.

I took the liberty to change the OPs suggestions to a more manageable format before answering:

Probably not to this degree but I think to prevent the game from becoming a upscaled deathmatch it is absolutely vital to have some authentic ingame player recognition features. A wide variety of faces and some variation in body shape (without changing size) work work here but I think the most managable way is a character generator that lets you combine specific features. Both having only complete faces (current state) and uploading your own face requires too much effort for the ultimate result - keep in mind there is a great number of players the engine has to handle. Also character generators have a much higher variation/effort ratio depending on the number of features used.

Definitely something I support and something that adds to the above - but not in exactly the same way as emblems are not permanent and can be stolen or used by others. Which is actually a good thing as it allows for more depth. And thanks to a great variety of faces imposters might still find it challenging.

I do not support this as selectable traits from the start as it introduces a unnecessary need for balance here. This would also hurt authenticity: You do not select your own genes and the particular combinations are by no means balanced. And randomly selected traits just introduce an arbitrary handicap or advantage from the start - which is more in the line with the spirit of the game though. I can see traits working as aquired (ingame) aspects of your character. Yes I know - grinding - but what is looting through cities to get better gear if not grinding? If traits work just like loot should - rewarding long term survival instead of hardcore leveling - they might just be a nice addition. But players should start at the same power level (extremely low).

You are able to do this already - by simply assigning ranks within your group - having the emblems mentioned above would merely help visualizing them. As for your stronghold it should be possible to build it the way you want (gives the necessary time, work and resources).

As far as I know barricading existing houses is planned and would work as stronghold. The amount of possible customization is unclear though as is the issue of ghosting inside locked areas (safe zones were discussed multiple times here).

Depending on... what? Why should the base care who its current owners are? If anything the size should depend on work, resources and time put into it but then you should have a base that is technically usable by everyone with the current owners having the advantages of owning the keys, starting inside (safezones again) and knowing the layout.

This is basically the second point applied to worl objects. I strongly support this and using spraypaint for sparying walls/trees as well as drawing on paper.

 

A Safe for storage [Clothes,Weapons,Vehicles,Food]

 

World containers were announced and the developers are currently working on persistence. I am positive we might see something like this.
 
Zombies [...]

 

Variety, numbers and threat level of zombies needs to go up for sure.
 
Big Server Population [...]

 

The optimal population size is somewhat distorted by the current "teleport features" like server hopping or spawn suiciding, the insane running speed and the lack of challenging PvE content. Currently it seems like 40-50 players are way too few and ~100 might be better but changes to the aforementioned issues might make the game very enjoyable with much less than that.
