how many servers do you play on?

Recommended Posts

in perspective of all whining about "server hoppers" and "loot farmers", it would be interesting to know how many servers players connect to, to play ..if you would be so kind to share...

I change only the server when I can´t connect to the old one (full).

Or the old one feels laggy.

Normally I press only "play".

Well lets hope this version stay open....

And still I got 1 main server that I've been on for 2 weeks now.
Will probably go looking for a couple of backups for when it's full but so far it's been from 10-30 people on it and it runs smooth.

I used to have 2 or 3 preferred servers, but they've all gone offline now.  I tend to go on low pop servers, or servers with timed resets.

I play on 2 servers, and they are always low pop and 95% of the time unlooted lol.

I tend to look for trouble, so I have a history full of servers that are high population with 60 or less ping.
This can make starting out after a respawn more challenging, but over all a less lonely experience.

I suppose you can choose to see a high pop server as a glass half empty or half full. Since competing against the environment is a no go right now I choose to compete against other players for resources! More people shooting at me. More interaction. And best of all, more victims.

I just play on the highest population hardcore server with a ping below 150 that has an official name.  Whichever that may be.

I never switch mid session, no reason to.

I don't play on specific servers. Whenever I start up DayZ I sort the list by ping and look for a decently populated hardcore server.

been playing experimentals, so any of the hardcore servers. stable, usually 3-4 hardcore, depending on server pop

I play on all servers, high pop when I want PVP, low pop when I want loot.

I'll jump on a server, mid to high pop, and then stay on it unless the population dwindles and stays that way for a couple of sessions. Same plan for both regular and hardcore.

Have a couple that I favourited. When playing I go for the highest pop, regardless of my status. I want the challenge / fear.

I don't generally stay with one server. I tend to join based on the following, in order of importance:

1) Lowest Ping

2) Hardcore only

3) Daytime only (unless the day/night cycles are shortened, I'll stay with daytime).

4) Players (more is better)

When the whole lost character thing happened, I saved a few servers that I knew were saving correctly to the hive, but I think that's fixed now.

Loot farmer /\

I'm not sure sliders (hoppers) will come here to tell of their hopping experience.

Used to play on two different hardcores, but now I only play on my own. I'll only switch if I wanna join friends or wanna join a server with more people.

I join whichever server has some slots left to join and have the lowest ping (in my country, lowest is 100) so it varies most of the time

I play on the server with the lowest ping. That will change when the loot respawn is fixed and we can have tents and eventually bases. At that point the group I play with will be getting our own server and I'll stay on it.

I have about 7 in my history but I really only play on 2 of them. Basically I tried a bunch of servers until I found the two most stable for me and those are the two I log into. Typically I only log into the one unless something is going on with it then I join the other one.
