Domod 7 Posted January 29, 2014 The ability to zoom(focus view) should be available only when standing still or walking.
TedZ 424 Posted January 29, 2014 Why? I don't see the reason for it to be removed, it's perfectly fine.
razguul@gmail.com 80 Posted January 29, 2014 Don't agree, I see no reason in removing it.

-MadTommy 367 Posted January 29, 2014 Good suggestion OP. I assume zooming is meant to simulate concentrating your eyes focus.. not something you can do while running.
Loafy 46 Posted January 29, 2014 Question do you run and right-click? or run and + - on num pad? Thats a bad one right there. Right-Clicking holds your breath, so doing that while running makes aiming tough in split second situations. Using + - on the Numpad is a tactical advantage imo. ImageCtrl 719 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Zoom + run is nice. I like it. The zoom function should changed. When you press the "+" key you should have the minimum FOV from the settings. (btw the minimum FOV is way too low)When you press the "-" key you should have the maximum FOV from the settings. When you press nothing you should have the FOV you set in the settings. TEST_SUBJECT_83 465 Posted January 29, 2014 Don't think it should be removed, just the headbob should be increased during the zoom when running.IRL it is quite hard to focus on something while sprinting.
Artophwar 42 Posted January 29, 2014 I hate the zooming in general. In real life I cant focus my eyes and see an extra couple hundred meter clearly. It does not simulate real life eye focusing. It basically feels like I have bionic eyes that can zoom in like a camera. I would much prefer that eye zooming be removed and only allow binoculars and scopes to zoom.

Survivor_Sabre 23 Posted January 29, 2014 I'd rather it was removed altogether than sprint and zoom (without severe hindrance at least) being possible. Though I think they should allow a small zoom when stood still. I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, I have not had the opportunity too play much yet due too currently using a rubbish laptop; but I believe the zoom function will be/already is used for certain interactions. Also, no zoom might put those with lower resolution screens at a disadvantage? Again, I could be mistaken, just thought it should be brought up in case. No one seems to understand WHY they let you zoom in the first place. It's a simple concept. So frustrating.

I agree with taking away the zoom while running(not normal walking speed). At the moment you can "turtle run" turn your head 160 degrees(your fov not the head animation) and zoom in with a little to no headbob... erkkiqaz 4 Posted January 30, 2014 the zoom is used to compensate what you could see irl in the situation and has nothing to do with focusing or concentrating on stuff. your computer screen is tiny and low res and cant display details in the distance that you can see irl with the fuckmassive field of view and "resolution" of your eyes.
