You are the ignorant fanboy that gets feverishly excited about new guns. Guns is the least important thing at the moment.

There are many way more important game play mechanical issues that should be addressed before this cherry picking patch.

So, I know the servers are down for another 3 hours or so.

 

But when they come up to find the experimental branch I'd type 114343 in the filter, yes? First time doing this, sorry if its been answered didn't feel like reading the other 48 pages.

Steam won't install the experimental patch for me even though I have selected experimental updates in DayZ's steam settings. Also tried putting it on high priority updating but still I dont get any updates.

Steam just auto downgraded me back to 0.30.114008, even tho I have experimental beta enabled.

 

Did the update get pulled, or are they just tired of people trying to connect to internal testing servers?

probably just doing hotfixes to the version we had, or yes you might be onto something they prob sick of people spamming their servers haha

For example .... there are 3 Coders ... and 5 people for gameplay and animations, sound, models....

 

Every patch will include some performance tweaks and bugfixes ... AND also the part of the other group .. so new models and so on ... The 5 people cant do the coding and bugfixing part... so they do what they can ...

So please stop talking about - we need just bugfixes and no more models or something like that .... !

It's a legitimate point, isn't it? 'Fixes' such as these: "Reduced dispersion of FNX45 (from 0.05 to 0.03)" strikes me as very odd in this phase of the development.

Which takes time, you cant just pop to the shop and pick up a six pack of game developers

But a new coder needs weeks or month until he can start helping the team ... he need to learn everything - how does the team works .. whats the code... understanding the code.. long way until he can start coding for the game in real

Let me lay it out a bit so even you can understand: Currently alot of hitboxes are wrong (too large, misaligned e t c) which means that you hit a wall or the ground even when the LOS is clear of the object.

Yes, run away in shame now...

Just so you guys know, there are experimental servers up today I believe, has shotguns in it and other goodies, this is part of new features that will be implemented, space is limited.

Hell no. A professional coder can jump in any industry standard project and at least do maintenance coding.

Maybe they don't want just anyone working on the game. Faster development does not necessarily make a better game.

Pre-Alpha.

 

Translation: No one gives a shit if you don't hit your targets. The purpose of the game is to fix bugs, not tweak performance and fine tune the shooting mechanics. Leave that shit for the Beta.
