azynkron (DayZ) 12 Posted January 20, 2014 So much ignorance....No, it's not ignorance. It's perfectly true. You are the ignorant fanboy that gets feverishly excited about new guns. Guns is the least important thing at the moment. There are many way more important game play mechanical issues that should be addressed before this cherry picking patch.
Pandema 352 Posted January 20, 2014 So, I know the servers are down for another 3 hours or so. But when they come up to find the experimental branch I'd type 114343 in the filter, yes? First time doing this, sorry if its been answered didn't feel like reading the other 48 pages.
BL1P 252 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Aww I was hoping it would be Barbie Doll Mode and Elitist Wa##ers Mode :) not Regular and Hardcore ! @ pandema there is a handy new Version tab in the browser Edited January 20, 2014 by BL1P
Rockapotomus 25 Posted January 20, 2014 Just got downgraded to older update even though I opted into beta?
slizzedy 70 Posted January 20, 2014 Steam won't install the experimental patch for me even though I have selected experimental updates in DayZ's steam settings. Also tried putting it on high priority updating but still I dont get any updates.
twingunz 308 Posted January 20, 2014 Steam just auto downgraded me back to 0.30.114008, even tho I have experimental beta enabled. Did the update get pulled, or are they just tired of people trying to connect to internal testing servers?probably just doing hotfixes to the version we had, or yes you might be onto something they prob sick of people spamming their servers haha
colinm9991 196 Posted January 20, 2014 3. Hit boxes So you can have an easy gaming experience and not have such a hard time trying to land your shots? Go back to your simplified games and stop playing on such an advance engine as Real Virtuality.
slizzedy 70 Posted January 20, 2014 Okay, looks like there are too many people downloading the experimental update so they've stopped updating/downgrading some players?!
kampfkarnickel 7 Posted January 20, 2014 For example .... there are 3 Coders ... and 5 people for gameplay and animations, sound, models.... Every patch will include some performance tweaks and bugfixes ... AND also the part of the other group .. so new models and so on ... The 5 people cant do the coding and bugfixing part... so they do what they can ...So please stop talking about - we need just bugfixes and no more models or something like that .... ! PiLLZ 55 Posted January 20, 2014 Just so you guys know, there are experimental servers up today I believe, has shotguns in it and other goodies, this is part of new features that will be implemented, space is limited. http://www.incgamers.com/2014/01/dayz-standalone-experimental-branch-going-live-this-evening-after-delay
azynkron (DayZ) 12 Posted January 20, 2014 Last time i checked 24 million was in money. Not in coders. Wtf. Last time I checked money could buy coders. Touche...
HerrNelson 11 Posted January 20, 2014 So much ignorance.... It's a legitimate point, isn't it? 'Fixes' such as these: "Reduced dispersion of FNX45 (from 0.05 to 0.03)" strikes me as very odd in this phase of the development.

A professional coder can jump in any industry standard project and at least do maintenance coding.

DropBearChick 1216 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) How Mutch for the six pack. plz edit your post instead of double posting, and can we plz get back on track with congratulating the devs on there great work? Edited January 20, 2014 by spartan54820
Mos1ey 6301 Posted January 20, 2014 How long has it been since ARMA2's sales peaked? Maybe they don't want just anyone working on the game. Faster development does not necessarily make a better game.
dromagewok@hotmail.com 164 Posted January 20, 2014 How long has it been since ARMA2's sales peaked? When Arma2's sales peaked they were developing and pushing out a release of Arma3. DayZ is not the only game developed by BI.

Pre-Alpha. Translation: No one gives a shit if you don't hit your targets. The purpose of the game is to fix bugs, not tweak performance and fine tune the shooting mechanics. Leave that shit for the Beta.
