Best place for FNX mags

So i found a few .45 rounds and 3 pistols, of which I only got one. You know what I did not find? A SINGLE MAGAZINE. So, where is the best place to find the mags, apart from Balota tents?

I had a 30 round and 20 round 'CMAG' for my previous M4 but I died so I lost them...and then I haven't found any magazine at all for the FNX.

 

But could someone tell me what ammunition the Mosin uses? Also, what are the random piles of handgun ammo for? Any guns that we haven't found?

 

All I've managed to find is about 50 M4s, 2 Mosins, 5 FNXs and a limitless supply of axes.

Right click the box and hit empty, it will place 20 7.62 rounds in your inventory which you just drag over you mosin and hit load.

The Mosin uses 7.62 ammo.   I found a 5 round clip once but that was weeks ago.  Atm i think you just load 5 rounds manually.

 

Empty those 7.62 boxes you find and load the gun.

I have found thirty or so mags for an m4 and a grand total of zero for the pistol. I think I've seen total bullets for it but no mags.

had the best luck for pistol mags in the Police Station (or jail), never found them anywhere else, also hear some pistols have a mag already in them.. havent been able to verify that though

I found only 1 so far. It was at one of the airports (I think in the jail building). Same trip I found 5 M4 mags and 3 double M4 mags.

Look in the boxes in the fire station. Make sure lot look down into them to make sure you find them.

Figured I would update this since my last post. I died and respawned. Made my way to Elektro and found the gun and two mags in the firehouse, then another in the other firehouse. Now I am all set.

Not sure what building it is, but I've had the most luck from what appears to be a police station. Has a three story to it, large first floor, with about three rooms, second floor with two rooms, and the third floor with one single room, that always contains an m4 or mosin.

Also, bashyna, and the northwest airfield have yielded a few mags for me. Most don't travel that direction it seems. Do it at night,muse it's creepy as hell, but risk equals rewards.

Hopefully they fix pistol mag spawns with the .357 magnum spawn rate.

Fire Stations are the place to go if you want pistol mags. Looted 2, got 5 mags.

I have 4 fully loaded ones. They're not hard to find lol. Mostly found on the very top of the firestation.

It stands to reason that the magazines would be more rare than the actual pistol.  As fleeing survivors would probably only take one or two pistols at most, but as many mags as they could carry.

Having said that, with patience you will find them.  Took me a day or so, but I have 3 now which is perfect for a sidearm.

The only thing that needs to be fixed, is you should be able to single chamber rounds into the pistol as you can with the M4.  Since ya know, you can do it in real life.

I have almost always found mags in a firehouse, And if you climb to the very top of the firehouse, to the roof. I usually find a holster, with either a fnx or 357.
