68Toler 2 Posted January 6, 2015 Desktop or laptop? Laptop - Win 8.1 64 BitMonitor resolution: 1920x1080CPU: Intel i7-47ooMQ 2.40GHz (8CPUs) ~2.4GHzGraphics card: AMD Raedeon HD8970M 4096MB GDDR5RAM:* 24GB DDR3SSD? (Yes/No) No Hello, I've played DayZ SA a little bit and want to play it more, however the frames are horrible (approx 5-10) everywhere I spawn even on the lowest settings. I was wondering if there's something incompatible with my computer? It runs ArmA 3 on ultra settings at around 40FPS as well as ArmA 2 OA. My concern is ArmA 2 itself runs much like DayZ SA. Interestingly enough the mod ran fine as well.

I found another one with i7 but same vga, is it worth it to buy ?You might want to try and find one with a bit more ram. one with 6 should suffice. But, if you want to run hardcore games like, Battlefield, or COD if you are like that you are going to need to switch to either a desktop build, or a much better laptop build. If you have further questions on such things specifically, feel free to PM me here on the Forums

wanted 0 Posted January 11, 2015 Hi,I want to play DayZ on my laptop I bought about a year and a half ago (a Metabox). After a full system restore to clean up any crap, I bought ARMA 3 but my FPS was like 5 so I ended that idea. Then I tried to play DayZ standalone but the FPS is about 5 also. Here is my laptop specs, I bought it specifically for games and it was supposed to be better than an alienware laptop. I have no idea why it is being so shit. Keep in mind that after the system restore there is not very much running aside from DayZ so what gives?Specs;P157SM: Metabox P157SM laptop by Clevo120GB SSD Samsung 840 - 530/130MBs (slot 1)120GB SSD Samsung 840 - 530/130MBs (slot 2)Hitachi 1TB 7200 rpm HDD (drive slot 1)Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5 graphicsProcessor: i7-4800MQ Quad Core CPU 2.7GHz up to 3.7GHzRAM memory: 16GB DDR3 1866Mhz RAM (4 x 4GB)Surely this thing should be able to play ARMA 3 let alone DayZ right?I don't know too much about computers, can someone please tell me wtf I am doing wrongThanks

StrixLynx 0 Posted January 11, 2015 Hello people. I'm planning to buy DayZ tommorow so I was wondering if my system would handle it. Here are my PC specs:Monitor: 1440x900 SAMSUNGCPU: Intel i7-4770K @3.50GHz quad coreGPU: Radeon HD 6670 sapphire edition 2GBRAM memory: HyperX Fury DDR3-1866 8GBHDD: 1Tb Western Digital Black 7200 RPM 64MB casheMotherboard: Intel Gygabyte GA-z97-D3H PCI-E 3.0 My GPU sucks big time (not much overclockable, locked voltage) and I don't know if it would run game on medium-high or just medium with 50-60 fps. That should depend on how much the game is optimized but I've never played it. I hope someone answers this in 10-12 hours. :)

joelyboy123 0 Posted January 22, 2015 HI there, Im about to build my first pc in the coming months as im coming up to my 16th. I would like to know If i could run dayz decently on maybe high or even ultra settings? Could someone please tell me if i could based on the parts below? http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/1EWQL3OVSKBR2 Those are the parts. Thanks
jbest8283 8 Posted January 22, 2015 You could run it on high. I would suggest checking out the Nvidia cards and a SSD instead of the TB unless you plan to store movies and music on it.
BrainlessZombie 190 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Pegi 18, i wont recommend a kid to buy this kind of game. You should look for a game more suitable for your age. About PEGI?What are ratings?Age ratings are systems used to ensure that entertainment content, such as films, videos, DVDs, and computer games, are clearly labelled by age according to the content they contain. Age ratings provide guidance to consumers (particularly parents) to help them decide whether or not to buy a particular product.Computer and video games are now enjoyed by millions of players throughout Europe. In the UK, 37 % of the population aged between 16 and 49 describe themselves as ‘active gamers’ (defined as currently playing games on a console, handheld or PC). In comparison, in Spain and Finland 28% of the population aged 16 and 49 are defined as ‘active gamers’(Nielsen report 2008). While most games (49%) are suitable for players of all ages there are many that are only suitable for older children and young teenagers. There are also some games (4%) that are made for adults only (over the age of 18).The rating on a game confirms that it is suitable for players over a certain age. Accordingly, a PEGI 7 game is only suitable for those aged seven and above and an PEGI 18 game is only suitable for adults aged eighteen and above. The PEGI rating considers the age suitability of a game, not the level of difficulty.PEGI is used and recognised throughout Europe and has the enthusiastic support of the European Commission. It is considered to be a model of European harmonisation in the field of the protection of children. Edit: Yeah, it would run it well enough. JackyCTV 54 Posted January 22, 2015 dont build your pc for an alpha of a game buddy, focus on a different type of game to build it around like battlefield 4, get the parts that you could run it on ultra with that way if you're playing DayZ and have bad FPS etc you will know its the game and not your specs!
