I want tanks, jets, atomic bombs and masks in the game.

It depand on how many of this items are in the game.

10 jets for all servers together + half the amount rockets

20 tanks for all servers together + half the amount bullets

1 atomic bomb for all servers together

 

Maybe this mask is only 100 x ingame?

I don´t worry about that atm.

 

Never sort a item out thats already done. Make it rar.

as for OP - i'm somewhat ambivalent with your post - the whole idea was for rocket to make a game he wanted to play, that was always the idea and he's said it countless times, so to rage about that now is a bit pointless. but as for the mask, whilst i won't be shedding any tears about it or feeling less immersion, i agree it's too arcadey - it just reminds me of that god awful WarZ shit (i never played that by the way, just lolled at many videos on the youtube of it)

The only reason I'm not a fan of the mask is that it's a reference of another game which is a reminder that you are, in fact, playing a game. Immersion, consider yourself broken.

The Fawkes mask reminds me of stupid memes so I dislike that by default.

in a zombie filled world = no

 

masks are used to hide identity in a zombie world this is irrelevant as zombies are the priority.

 

so its just a game addition. not a realistic addition.

 

in a survival situation the last thing you want is a identifying mask LOL. you shouldnt have any indications that your a bandit or a killer thats the most retarded shit ever !

 

dean and the devs have added studf from other games into dayz. im waiting for skyrim dragons tbh :lol:

I really don't see the issue with masks of any kind...in fact it would be quite cool seeing a bandit crew sweeping down a hill all wearing the same mask.

 

Of course they would offer no protection at all so i guess that is the trade off.

I like it, if its rare that is. Also who are you to say what people would wear in a virtual zombie apocalypse? Deranged killers might want to create an image so that if someone gets killed by a machete wielding maniac with a clown mask they know who it is. Also that mask looks like a proper ballistics mask so yeah it would offer protection.

It's an item your find in the world like any other, it's not a bandit skin. Anyone can wear it if they choose, bandits, survivors, traders, medics, whatever.

The thing is, imagine if everytime you play Standalone you see someone wearing these? It would really feel like WarZ (or Infestation, or CoD if you want). About the immersion thing, it is 100% true, I think it would break the immersion too. I mean, maybe I'm just scared because too much hype = too much fear of the game to suck. With SA, I wanted to feel that way you feel the first time you played DayZ, and I'm afraid that with all these crazy aspects (look at the underwear and the mask at the picture), I won't. Yes, probably the survive thing and all I would feel, but... Idk, I think that something about the mask tells me that the game will have a lot of non-sense stuff.

Hehe, saw this on Reddit, here's an example of someone really stretching for any possible explanation:

 

"I imagine you can acquire these masks in real life? What is stopping the backstory just being they got another country to manufacture them and their factory is in Chernarus? We can give blood transfusions in a field, whilst being chased by zombies...we can wear Payday 2 masks."

I think, in standalone, people will be conscientous of what they're wearing in regards to what "vibe" their clothes are giving off. And with the amount of loot and it's frequency, I doubt we'll be seeing the epidemic of Payday masks everyone's been going on about. 

 

If I see a guy walking around in a clown mask, regardless of what game it's been featured in, I'll put a bullet in him. Same goes for hockey masks or skull-and-spike-adorned clothing. 

 

We need more of these types of clothing, even if their purpose is just aestethic. Bandits should have the chance to be as theatrical as they want. No more killing on sight; I want to be kidnapped by a man wearing body parts. I want him to tie me up and go on a monologue before dramatically pulling out his pistol or machete and killing me in the most long-drawn way possible. 

 

And let's face it; the bandits won't be able to resist looking scary, even if it means being at a tactical disadvantage by drawing mistrust to them. Only the disciplined, restrained bandits will want to dress up "nice" to lure potential victims, especially when you dangle scary clown masks in front of them.
