mosin vs m4. Who will triumph?

imo m4 for zombies and firefights mosin for longer range and looting.

Pretty much this. I've always liked the M4/M16 as a zombie killing weapon.

akm/sa58 for my favorite anti zombie rifles. A silenced one of them would be awesome to see in SA.

revolver/m1911 are high on my list regarding pistols with the revolver edging out the 1911.

M14 aim is my overall favorite in the mod.

This is mostly because i suck at headshots unless indoors.

only reason i said m4 for zombies before is because it could hold more rounds if you had them. therefore more zed kills per mag.

He's a troll who speaks English much better than he wants you to believe. Just pretend with the rest of us that he is successful, or entirely ignore him.

Oh, I'm well aware he's a moron - luckily, I speak moron so I was just helping Mazzar :D

You can tell by the way he/she types, Russian/Ukrainian (Hell, most eastern-European) speakers tend to miss articles and don't use prepositions correctly - they are not consistent in the slightest with the mistakes they make.

The AKM is way too loud in my opinion. It's strong, but loud. I prefer the revolver over the M1911 any day because of its ironsight, the one on the M1911 is way more difficult aiming with.

Not as loud as an m14/dmr though. One thing i hope will come with standalone will be suppressors that are for a certain caliber not a certain gun. So a suppressor that fits a m24/dmr/m14 will fit an akm and so on.

You have an eye keen on details. I wonder, have you noticed that that there was an error in this statement?

Joking, of course. Humans don't make mistakes! Everybody knows that that.

More good news from rocket:

"We will be releasing an extremely comprehensive roadmap with the release of the alpha version.

Let me say this, in the past few months the development committment and resources of the project have massively scaled. We have moved into a new building, new people are being constantly hired. The roadmap is already looking far more ambitious than I ever could have imagined.

While the initial alpha might be fairly limited on the face of it, the platform it provides for the progressive months of development is (in my opinion) nothing short of staggering." - http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1r1cu6/sadayz_roadmap/cdipj1l?context=3

Talking about liars, here's another update from yesterday. Aimed at ppl who accuse Rocket from being not trustworthy and a liar:

Q: One user: "so the stability = release was another lie? what a pity"

Another user: "You said that was the only thing holding back the release was the server stability, but on the forum post you said you had to work on other things before the release. "player flow from menu to ingame"

It's funny, I don't mind waiting. I just hate when someone says "this is all we have to do for release" and then they say "this is something we've been working on" (something totally unrelated)"

A:

player flow from menu to ingame

That is part of our stability work. One of the major problems we have now is inconsistent state of the players character when respawning/logging in. When you die, sometimes you death is processed sometimes it's not, or sometimes there has been weird issues with the database.

At best, it has been causing problems saving the state of the character. At best, it has been causing crashes of the entire server and all the clients connected. In order to make it more stable, myself and one of the programmers have been refactoring the client into game process so that it is more streamlined and robust.

I may be bad at my job, wrong, and many other things, but I am no liar.

Nope the graphic settings are well maxed out on the other one with different lighting and ingame screenshot its either low/medium what the devs have stated.

Not sure I agree with you.

The in game one clearly has extra physical parts modelled and the textures are different. Not just lower resolution as you would expect if running on lower settings but actually painted differently.
