So, does anyone know if there is a specific timeframe where games will be released on Steam, or whether it's fully automated when approved?

 

In this case I'm pretty sure it's totally dependent on when the team is ready to release the game. They keep updating the steam database which tells me that as soon as they have the version ready for public launch, they'll just rename it, send valve the okay, and boom. Released.

Gotta concur with Wayze. Even if it's not on the front page, once the info gets around, it's gonna be a shitstorm of alpha purchases. Hopefully all the haters who lurk on youtube comments will stay the fuck away, though.

 

Speaking of which, Zomboid is on there now, so at least we can debunk the whole Zomboid/DayZ concurrent release.

PS. and it wasn't like they gave a fuck whether they released a buggy, broken mess of a game just before the weekend... :P
