TheWildFerret 0 Posted November 27, 2013 Hi guys, I'm pretty sure I can run the mod well but curious to know how well. Here's my set up: i7-2600K 3.4Ghz16 GB DDR3 2133 RAM2TB 7.2K Drive (for data) and 120GB SSD (For O/S)Gigabit Dual NiCs (Realtek) I'm tempted to TEAM them together but not sure yetWindows 8 64bit (Might be upgrading to 8.1 this week)2GB nVidia GTX 770I haven't played at all and have been on the fence about it, but figured it was time to take the plunge. Would like to know what kind of FPS I'd get especially if there's always that element of PVP Thanks for taking a look.

Side note, upgrade to 8.1 it's awesome.
TheWildFerret 0 Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah I run 8.1 at work and prefer it over 8 especially how aggressive it cleans up memory and such, but just wanted to make sure there's no problems with it and DayZ :) Thanks for the info.

Im getting 20 frames on very low with this crappy laptop:Processor: AMD Turion II Dual Core Mobile M500 2.20 ghzGPU: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200Ram: 4gb (3.75 usable) There's a youtube video of someone running BF3 at ultra with AA off at about 40 fps. He was using a laptop the exact same specs. I'm sure if a laptop can run BF3 on those settings, it should be able to run DayZ at around 30 fps on highish settings Edited November 29, 2013 by Pseudo1

I'm sure if a laptop can run BF3 on those settings, it should be able to run DayZ at around 30 fps on highish settingsThis game is badly optimized, and eats a lot of CPU. I get 100 fps Ultra on BF4 on this game I barely get 90+ in open field with most of everything normal. You can feel this game eating out your CPU. If you're on a budget, building a pc revolving this game is a bad idea because in theory you won't have the funds. You shouldn't be going cheap on a gaming rig anyways or you'll just be upgrading soonish. If you're building a pc or plan to get a laptop wait it out, there's sales. Today for instance Black Friday, then you have Cyber Monday, then the holiday sales. Be mindful, at least if your rig runs other popular games don't worry so, as to SA will be out soon(pipe dream) and hopefully it's optimized.
