(Yes/No) NoHDD 500gb 7200rpm Thanks for help Will struggle on low settings because of the CPU, but might just about be playable. I would recommend downloading ArmA 2: Free and seeing how that runs. Bear in mind that there would be a performance decrease in moving to DayZ mod because of the extra AI calculations etc. though. I'd expect maybe 66% performance in DayZ mod, so if you're just about getting by in A2: Free then DayZ more than likely won't be playable for you.

Peace You should be able to get 50+ on very high, but AA and PPE needs to be deactivated. With those two settings on, you might drop to ~<30.Probably less than 10 fps in forests / cities, with all settings on. My system can just handle running everything on very high with PPE on very low and AA on high. Pentiums are super old now and 2Ghz is pretty slow even for a Pentium. KoolAidPapa 2 Posted November 3, 2013 Hello, I am very interested in downloading DayZ and before I buy both Arma II and Arma II: Operation Arrowhead I was wondering if the specs on my computer will be able to run DayZ. Hopefully with pretty average FPS because I have honestly fell in love with this game from YouTube videos. I have no experiences working with computers and have no idea what most of this information means (copy and pasted) so I am relying on you to help me :D. - Windows 8.1- Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz-8.00 GB-64-Bit Operating System, x64-based processor If there is any information left out or any unneeded information I do apologize, the model is a Toshiba Satellite P875 Laptop ( I understand desktops are better at PC games so please leave those comments out :P ) Thanks, KoolAidPapa
Ratsmon 131 Posted November 3, 2013 I had a laptop with lower specs than those and it ran around about 30-60 FPS; you should be fine, I've about 4GB Ram now and it runs on 30FPS and it's still smooth as butter. I think it'd run good :pAlso, buy combined operations, it's the two games but in one and it's cheaper.
