Im Tired-Less Running Please

I still love this game and find it very fun especially with all the mods of this mod. (Yo dawg) The one thing I find very unappealing about this mod is the amount of time you are running if you do not have a vehicle.

I would hope to see something done about this in the SA, maybe faster running speed, more vehicles. Even just putting a lot of bikes around the map would make it much faster to get around from place to place.

Come on, all ya have to do is hold down a key, it's not like you're actually running the 8km or so to the NWAF, your fingers shouldn't be tired at all. And 8km isn't even that far, I walked twice that much yesterday.

if u speed up running or making travel to easy, then the road towards boredom happens that much faster..

its all about pace. if u speed it up to much end game suffers.

I actually prefer walking unless I find a bike.

Hear ... Hear ... I tend to agree. This is what makes the vehicles in DayZ a valuable asset to protect ... even bicycles and tractors. :)

In my opinion, making it around the map very quickly gets quite boring.

As for the standalone, there willbe more locations to help that.

It's not like you're destined to run to the Northwest airfield in 20 minutes.

Use your time to scavenge. Survive, Learn the map better.

Ground vehicles actually can't go much beyond 130 km/h, engine limitation. There are some mods with special ground values or boosters on the cars, though.

More durability vehicles.....More durability, More durability, More durability, More durability, More durability..... way sorry for this spam, but this is seriously a pet peeve of mine. Please for the love of all that is Holy/Evil, make the vehicles allot tougher, and more maneuverable. I mean dirt and gravel roads slowing an off road truck down. One word, assholes. Love ya guys. :D

As to the OP.... Are you kidding? Awe comon man, your just trolling right? Yeah, you must be just doing some sport trolling cause no one would be that upset about the 2012 jogging sim of the year. This thread needs a high jack into the "Ways to get around in Dayz recommendations" thread.

The world is quite large how it is, but I have to agree with Inception here, the map would be better if it were bigger. Running should stay as is, simply because it's a big part of the survival simulation and it does make you feel achieved if you do stumble across vehicles so I think increasing the default vehicle count is out of the question.

I love running around looking for heli crash sites! Time to reflect in the zombie apocalypse, plus I like to be stealthy which cars are certainly not.

Drive them on the road and avoid roadblocks ... they are plenty fast. As in real life ... taking a Bus off-road ... can cause havoc. The only Vehicle I think needs some serious attention is the ATV ... so I just avoid them for now.

Road vehicles are durable on road.

Off Road vehicles are durable off road and on road.

Drive in to a tree or stone wall with any car ... and yes it will break ... but that is real life. :)

I prefer moving on foot because its the stealthiest way to move. I only tend to use vehicles when i really need to get somewhere quickly or if the servers got a low pop because generally the engines are so loud they get you noticed from hundreds of meters away and just turn you into an instant target.

Ironically though Ive found more vehicles due to moving on foot everywhere, I have a strange knack of stumbling upon players camps which normally have at least one hoarded vehicle to take
