i personaly LOVE this work and this addition to the game more variaty is what it severly needs to feel more open and not closterphobic forget the haters there is nothing wrong with this this is just a great way to avoid ccopywrite infringment and they should see and accept that +100 beans to this work please keep it up

I really would like to see the new brands written in cyrillic (at least for the russian maps) and then mixed with real russian stuff ( see link :) ). Probably we can add some rare easteregg hooves and stuff later on ;). If not ( because of some humorless p....s) I will for sure use them on the map I am working on...

Biggest problem I see with cyrillic names is pronouncability. Need products the everyday person can at least somewhat decipher and pronounce, we need to know what exactly the contents are so we can make a proper texture (or do what the product makers do... just put some undetermined painted fish meat on it and let customers guess what real fish this was from, if any).

Don't get me wrong I love all the DerpyRazorDrWasteland stuff but I think this is what most people see as immersive and realistic regarding the gameworld....

I thought changing the letters of your name to cyrillic might do the job: мЗЛЫ

(cyrillic converter). No one could say that's not atmospheric.

These are awesome, I have no idea why anyone is upset at the names, you can't use the real items due to copyright infringement. Are people just upset that their own name didn't get used?

I guess about 90% of the people complaining didn't even know the mods. I really do not believe that jealousy played an role.

I think the fact that the name of some people they didn't even know was put into their game, on an item that they will encounter several times a day, without having been given any warning in advance or being asked, was the main issue.

Just people seeing who and what dayz and it's community are differently and didn't communicate in a way that they could have noticed before the incident.

but to be onnest, i think the diference between the clean, dusty and rusted cans has to bee more visible.

something like:

1st,can) clean

2 can) dusty/rusted

3 can) totaly rusted and maby not recognizable. So you have to open it and eat it, to taste and see what it is.

I appreciate the work you have been doing to help out the devs on this mod and for the standalone Joey. And even though the discussion about the names of the can's is done, I would like to let the others know that while the names didnt suit for most of you guys (For me the names didnt matter, just the fact that new loot was added was good enough for me), he didn't have a choice really. The reason for the "Not having a choice" part is because of the fact that these companies have copyright and trademarks on their products. Because of this, we really cant be going and adding the real names of the products, otherwise some revenue generated by the game will also have to be shared with the companies as a pay off for having their product placed in game. This can not only cause problems, but generate less revenue for further development on the game and the mod as well. I hope you guys will understand this fact.

OT: May I suggest adding a form of canned coffee to the game? Maybe something similar to the starbucks doubleshot coffee?

We have an idea about adding some medical-stuff to the game, when that gets done and green-lit, coffee and alcohol might get added as weaker versions of them ;)

I have some good ideas but at the moment I'm still having trouble with MySQL for localhost so my work has stopped.

If a mod tells us he'll pin it we'll gladly make a thread that links to this one, the model conversion guide, and similar topics. But making a link collection thread that ends up in graveyard is a waste of time, so I'd like some feedback from forum staff first :D Like a "If you build it, they will pin".

Also, I looked into streaming stuff. If there's an interest in it, I'll stream making an asset from start until it is in the game via twitch.

I like the idea but I already have trouble finding food and drink at times, I don't want it to be even harder.

Not to mention tinned food is designed to last, and the tins would have to be very dented before they began to corrode at all.

Also I think it would encourage hoarding...

I do however like the idea of custom food logos!
